Here are the operating and storage temperatures Noco publishes. Take careful note, and realize that based on the fact that their lab performance does not relate to their advertising, the true ranges may be worse. A supercapacitor unit does not have these temperature limitations.

I'm not questioning your experience. It sounds like it works well for you. But you referenced Amazon reviews. I'm questioning two things: 1) Whether Amazon reviews are a reliable source since most of the reviewers seemed to not have actually used it. 2.) If they are, then comparing the reviews of several brands seems to suggest that the Noco isn't any better than much cheaper brands.

Full disclosure, I used to own a lithium jump pack for about 5 years. I worked well until it didn't (used it quite a lot...probably more than I should have needed to). At the time, I really only needed out of convenience. Now that I'm in the market for a new one, I'm looking to get one I can rely on out of necessity, where help may not be easy to reach. That said, I don't want to cheap out. But reading through the reviews of the Noco has me 2nd guessing whether it's really any better than "cheaper" ones.

That's the one I have, it works great. Don't buy it at $375 though, you can buy it for $US130 all day long in the fall.

As many as I can fabricate
Correct, but I just used the numbers. There's not any reliable source out there as far as I'm concerned. I worried about mine for the first year, checked the temp and took it out of the car on hot days, cold days......after the first year, forgettttabbbooout it. A cell phone will drain the thing as well on charge, but its fast and that's another reason I bought it. Girls ride in the car, everyone has a phone that needs a charge. All in all it's paid for itself many times because a elderly lady with a bad battery is really sweet when you get her on the way down the road with a jump.

You have a manual, you can push start it with a Moose in Ottawa.

Ha! I've never used it on my truck but I've rescued a couple of women driving sketchy minivans. I don't want my truck to get coronavirus by using jumper cables.

I am old enough to remember when cars had chrome bumpers and you could push start them all day long with no damage. Get off my lawn!

I got a GB70 in a group buy on here. I've used it a handful of times, twice in below freezing temps with no problems. I've also used it to charge my phone on multi day camping trips. I store it in my truck year round and it holds a charge. All in all I have been pleased with it. That's not to say there may not be better or cheaper options out there.

My last lithium I felt like a super hero in the parking lots when I heard the starter click.

How long does it take to charge the capacitor? Or does it have a pre-charge?

Capacitors charge really fast. Generally if the vehicle was driven recently, battery's not discharged too much and you get from 11.5 V to 15 V in about 2 minutes. There is a voltmeter on the unit, you just watch it until you get a number you like.
