Rock would be my first choice, a little on the hard side but some of that metal is just as stupid as rap, which I find the most offensive. As for goat roping music it seems to be thoughtless and wandering, and blending into soft rock or pop, way to go Nashville, ruin it for all of us. :frusty:

crap "video no longer available" i just watched the thing 30 seconds ago.

go to youtube and look up Trace Adkins "Songs about me". Play the first one on the list. Listen to the words.

That'll explain the "goat roping" music.

Weird, about a month ago I went to go see a Pink Floyd coverband. In the back ground they had a huge screen with those clips playing. Now I know where it came from :)

This isn't the video but some of the lyrics. The song's start sets up the question and the chorus tells it all.

I met a guy on the red eye
    He spotted my guitar
and said what do you do?
    I said, I sing for a living,
    Country music mixed with
a little rock and a little blues
    He said I'm sorry
    but I've never been crazy
'bout that twang and trains and hillbilly thing
What ever made you want to sing stuff like that?
I just looked at him and laughed and said

    cause it's songs about me
    and who I am
    songs about loving and living
and good hearted women and family and God
    yeah they're all just
    songs about me
