I have a 2003 Tacoma 2.7 sr5 and I'm looking to lift it around 3", want to fit 285/75/16s, what does everyone think for solid lift and what I should use, gonna be driving on the highway more than anything but still go off road, whats a good compromise?

To answer honestly, budget plays a big part in giving you recommendations.

Regardless of lift, going with that tire size, same as mine, you will need upper control arms depending on your wheel backspacing.
If your back space is less than 4" with a 7" rim, you will be doing the pinch weld mod, which may give you clearance at the top not needing to replace the UCA's.

Many thing to consider... figure out how much you want to spend, do some research then post again with you findings/ questions.

    Good luck.
