I hate to tell you this, but this isn't the trunk monkey. This is actually the "glove box monkey" which I believe is standard on all late model Tacomas, so all you guys complaining about the rattling noise coming from the passenger side behind the glove box check the monkey first.

I have a 99 Tacoma, so my console may not be as big as yours. no console envy here..but I am into GeoCaching and camping so I keep a day pack with items I used to carry in the center. And I go over board in that. Items in my day pack behind my seat are. leatherman, fire starter, flashlight, 1st aid kit,a lenght of rope, brass compas from 1945,pens and pencils, paper, matches, lighter(I smoke) binoculars(the small ones) a hotel bar of soap and toilet paper in a zip lock. My console holds my work related items. Badge,( No I'm not a cop) keys, vest and some clear eyes . Don't ask. I also carry a rubbermaid container in the access cab with jumpers, 1 extra oil quart, i gallon of the pre-mix coolant, cheap tool kit, more rope and a snatch strap.

I do carry a pistol but it is either on me or somewhere close to me. I don't keep it in the truck. I used to keep it behind the drivers seat but I have a CB now and that gets in the way so I have found a better place to carry it while in my truck.

None of the "Older Fellas" carry condoms. Is that what I have to look forward to? Actually I don't either. I actually cought my girl counting them one day while I was at home. Like she knew when I bought them and my useage. Actually she did. Damn, she is good at math. All I can say is she was happy with the mathmatical outcome.
