Yeah, after a hurricane it is very convenient to have a truck, there’s debris on the road, standing water, etc..

Make sure you have 50 posts before listing in the for sale section.

Low mileage like that IMO lowers the price of the vehicle. It’s never been driven which can mean a lot of mechanical issues.

You’re out of your mind to expect $25k. You’ll likely only get KBB for your area same as a vehicle with normal yearly mileage.

So this truck would actually be worth more money if it had 96,000 - 120,000 miles on it?

I personally would feel creeped out about a truck that stayed parked in a garage and never driven.

A lot of things can start to corrode and seize. Plus that’s 11,000 miles of probably all city/short trips which means all those miles are heavy wear miles.

My 2013 with 74k miles probably has less city/wear miles than his truck.

People get all enamered with low mileage vehicles.
They typically have more mechanical issues than higher mileage trucks.

I can understand some components would have been under utilized for optimum life at this stage in the game...but I bet it sells pretty quick for around what he is asking. I wouldn’t have a problem paying similar to that if I was in the market for a clean second gen.

That said, unless you know the frequency of its stationary periods I would bet it’s still in decent mechanical order. It’s jot hard to achieve those miles of its used once a month IMO.

I agree with packCon. It's a gorgeous truck and will sell quickly but if you look at op previous posts I think the truck only been driven 2000 plus miles in three years. I've read articles that tend to agree that super low miles are worse than daily driving. However maybe if fluids were changed as scheduled by time vs mileage maybe it makes a difference.

I agree that low mileage vehicles have their own set of issues. But I don’t think a low mileage vehicle is worth less than a regular mileage vehicle. No way..

Judging by OP it sounds like it was well cared for by the local Toyota dealership

If I had the storage, I’d do exactly that with a low mileage 2012-2015 AC OR 4x4. Garage queen it for another 8-10 years while I ring up the miles on my current SR5.

Any sources for the low mileage =more mechanical issue claim?

    Thanks.

BTW, nice looking farm OP. GLWS!

Bleeding brakes on C3s is down right ridiculous. Dad had a 1980 L82. I remember looking at the window sticker and build sheet as a little kid thinking how bad ass it was. Damn thing was only 12k new!

I preach this all the time but it falls on deaf ears. A vehicle that is never driven or driven just a few miles then put away has just enough time to get warmed up and then cooled down collecting condensation in the engine exhaust etc. Then started again and never hot enough to burn all that condensation out. Also wheel bearings that just sit static and tires etc they start to flat spot. I could go on and on.

I have 2 real world experiences with this one is my great aunts 56 Buick Wildcat I inherited it had a whopping 12k on the ODO when I got it in 2005 I had to completely go through the engine, trans, suspension, brakes etc. Oh she drove it like once a yr 5 miles or so if that. My friends thought it was a hell of a find being such low mileage yeah maybe if it were some rare yenko or something. But sitting and not being used hurts vehicles just like a ton of city driving. When I sold that car after I fixed everything to get where I could get resonable offers I only made 5g and that is getting a vehicle for free.

When people ask me my ideal used vehicle purchase I tell them I vehicle with a lot of miles but 90% of those is highway. Highway mileage is less harsh on the vehicle so what if it has more than the avg of 15k a yr. I want a vehicle that has been used not abused or babied to the point of just sitting.
