How about just buying a second bigger truck and keeping this one for a daily driver?

 

Actually I think if he were to get a daily driver it should not be a smaller version of his other daily driver... something with far better MPG

 

If you are sure about this, call up toyota and tell them you want to cancel the extended warranty. It may have been part of your "deal" when buying the truck, but it was sold as a separate option on the final price. You can get this money back with no impact to the trade in value. They may pro-rate it, but generally you can sell it back/cancel it prior to it being "active" for full price. Did this on a Nissan a few years back.
