Start with an online offer from Carvana, AutoNation, etc. Then you at least know the minimum.

Better off removing and selling your aftermarket stuff and returning your taco to original.
At least then you can recoup some spent $.

We're all beating a dead horse... but yeah you need to ditch the mods. Buy takeoffs here on TacomaWorld or offer trade + cash on their end, or in your county/state, and get it back to stock as best you can. When people see built vehicles a lot of the time it can be a worry, like people said, because you don't know why those mods were added, if they were added correctly, and what the mods were used for.

The canopy, all suspension products, wheel assemblies (separated if you so choose), armour, sliders, and Prinsu racks will make you an absolute killing and a half. You can be your transparent self but the chance someone will actually take what you say and believe it is slim to none.

It's hard to find people who want a built truck unless it's really built and that usually means a SAS'd crawler or custom fabbed buggy built off Toyota concept and/or parts.

Check for Toyota enthusiast wheeling groups or "overlanders" in your area; Facebook groups are great for getting rid of mods. Check your value on a stock truck then. Consider creating a buy and sell thread with everything on TacomaWorld tagged with your area, how far you'd ship, local only, pickup only etc, you could shell everything out with one fell swoop of a thread and you'll likely have a good line on getting everything gone for a fair price.

$35k without mods. You’d be lucky to get $37k as is.

KBB range is 33-37 private party on a completely loaded 2018 OR with that mileage in excellent condition, for my zip in north Texas.

The tires and lift are a major red flag. If I were buying the truck I would work you down on "incorrect drive line" wear and tare. Unless you adjusted your driveline your cv joints are shot. Not a huge repair, but who wants the worry.

A lot will be region based. Texas pays more for trucks in general, then you have west coast, Rocky Mountains, and northeast that also pay more.

I looked at used TRD Pros like yours and one is FS from a dealer in Arkansas for $48,795 as a certified unit. That would put trade around $44,000-46,000.

Like others, mods lower the value, there is no increase in value in mods. New brakes, battery, new tires (good ones) do.

How can you possibly tell that from two side pics and no idea how long the lift and tires have even been on the truck?

At least to a dealer if a trade in as far as any value with mods, or options added later that weren't part of the vehicle build. If you can do a private sale, and find the right buyer that wants that stuff, it could be a different story.

Even negative for dealers because they can't warranty on the mods and sell it as Toyota CPO.

When I bought my 2019 in 2021, I avoided all the molested ones because I didn't know who did the work, what the owner had done to it. I did not want one which has been abused.

Return it back to stock and part out the mods.

Any lift or tire size that’s not OEM will accelerate wear/damage on the truck’s suspension. 100%.

What are you talking about? You shouldn't post stupid shit like this.
OP you have a great truck with average miles, the market hasn't fallen completely on it's face.
There have been enough trucks sold on the EE and for sale you can get a good baseline. You won't be able to recover 100% of the mod $ spent but you will save someone from having to do it themselves. I've seen far more modded trucks sell at a fair price for both parties, just do your homework and be patient. 2 months ago before I found this current 3rd Gen, I would of looked hard at yours for a daily driver.
    Best of luck, it'll sell.

    Work in progress...
It's a really nice set up. Put the truck up for sale. I would start out at 38,000 obo. You can always go down on the price. I would buy a Tacoma with those upgrades for sure provided the test drive and inspection go well. But then again, I do my own maintenance and installs etc.

What's out of spec? Who's spec?

He said he has aftermarket upper control arms, shocks, leaf springs and I'm sure a diff drop if he needed it. I seriously doubt all that was done and he skipped the alignment.

If you're just saying bigger tires cause more wear, then ok. Theoretically true.

But eyeballing a pic of a truck and saying "your cv joints are shot" is a whole other thing.
