Prices on 90s Ford Rangers and Mazda B-Series, specifically B2200s exploded in price. A $2,000 truck went to 7,000 in a couple months.

Keep it and plan to give it to one of your kids. (If you can afford to)

Have you chopped the frame for you lift and tires? I know that's a deal breaker for many, and some have said that certain state inspections will fail the truck for frame damage. My state has no inspection so I cannot attest to the validity of that claim, but it's on the internet so it must be true.

As others have said, the determining factors will be stock features, mileage, condition, and maintenance records. Also, big one here, did you adjust your speedo for the bigger tires? If you didn't then you have more miles on it than your odometer says and you went further between OCI than you planned. That's something any potential buyer should be informed of.

I totally get it. As others here have said, craigslist is about dead, and facebook marketplace is the best option. In 2019, when I finally decided to get my 2019 TRD Sport, I knew I had to sell my 1996 Tacoma Xtracab. And as you mentioned, you get a ton of those default "Is this still available?" messages! So what I did, was that I put an ad on FB Marketplace, along with many pictures, and a good description, and then included my address, and parked the truck in the street. I told them explicitly "do not believe the pics, even though they are true, just drive on by, the truck is sitting there, look at it, and if you are interested, call me". I also said something that I will not bother you, if you stop by, and if interested, just call me. Well, it had been sitting there for about 5 days, and as it was the day before garbage day, in the early afternoon, I was bring my recycle bins and garbage bin, out to the street. This guy pulled up on a motorcycle, as I was bringing the bins out. I ignored him. As I was bringing the 3rd bin out, he had been walking around the truck, and so, despite my saying I would not bother anyone who came by, I decided to approach him and ask if he was interested, etc. Well, his answer was that he had seen my pics, and he couldn't believe how good the truck looked, and as I had suggested, he decided that his curiosity had gotten the best of him, so he drove by to look at it for himself! I told him that that was why I put the ad as I did, as I wanted people to believe what I had posted. Anyway, I offered to let the buy drive it around the block, with me in it, of course, and he jumped at the chance, excitedly. We literally just drove it around the block. As we got out, I was about to say something like "well, if you are interested, let me know", and was about to walk off, when, before I could say anything, he spoke up and said "I know you were advertising the truck for $6995, but will you take $6700 in cash?" Well, at that time, prices had not gone up as much as they have now, so I was totally stoked that he offered the $6700, so I told him I would accept it. So he said he would go around the corner to the credit union and get the money and come back. He came back about 30 minutes later. I have done this before, so I was prepared with a written bill of sale, that was in incredible detail stipulating that he had checked out the truck, etc, and was taking it "as is", which it was in excellent condition, but I was covering my ass, so to speak! I also videotaped the entire transaction, including watching him drive off with my truck. By the way, I also went inside in the middle of the transaction, after he had signed the bill of sale, and given me the money, as I live in CA and went online to manually do the release of liability form online at the CA dmv website. It is instantaneous, and I printed out two copies, one for him and one for my records. I learned many years ago to do this right away, because if he gets a ticket, goes through a toll booth, etc, until the release of liability reaches DMV and they change the records, I could be liable for anything happening with the truck, even though I had sold it. So by doing it online instantly and printing out the record with DMV, I get a time stamp which can save a lot of headaches later on. Anyway, and sorry for this being a long story, but, the guy turned out to have just retired as an Oakland Police Officer Motorcycle officer, which is why he drove up on a motorcycle. It had been his dream motorcycle to get when he retired, but after getting it, he realized that if he wanted to haul anything, he was out of luck! So that was why he was looking for a decent first generation Tacoma. The guy was also meticulous in how he took care of his stuff, as his motorcycle looked just like it came off the showroom floor. So I knew my truck was going to a good home!
The bottom line is that I still recommend selling it yourself, and do like I did. If you don't want anyone knowing your home address, then park the truck somewhere else, like around the block or something, as it will still work that they can just drive up and look at it.

In today's thieving smash and grab society, I don't think I'd advertise an unattended vehicle. I'm also a firm believer in conducting transactions for private sales in PD parking lots. Keeps both parties safe and keeps time wasters and scammers away just at the mention.

I paid $37,000 for a fully loaded 2018 DCLB OR with 50k miles here in Texas. That was 5-6 months ago. So you might be able to get more than that In California.

It seems like they are all worth 30-35. I’d try selling as is. Good luck.

At the end of the day quality parts and work will be appreciated by people who understand it. People who are truly interested will come see the truck and if they try to pick apart the mods just tell them to go check out the other 50 trucks that arnt modded and not waste your time.
