    Hey all,
I'm kicking around the idea of selling my truck and I really don't know what to ask for it. Here's a quick run down of it,'09 longbed, 137,000, 4.0 super charger with TRD tuning and 2.8 pulley, BTF lower a arms, SPC uppers, 34/10.5/17 BFGs on Icon wheels, 4.56s rear true track, Accutune 2.5 fox dsc, Allpro rear leafs also have OMEs that would go with it, WarFab sliders, Allpro aluminum front bumper w/ 9500 lb winch, Allpro aluminum rear bumper with hitch, Morimoto LED head lights, KC LED fog light, Vision X light bar, AL roof rack, Pioneer DEH 6600 head unit, Infinity door speakers, JL 13 in Mr. Marv box, Massive audio amp. I'm sure there's stuff I'm missing, overall a nice truck but not a perfect show truck. It's been my daily work truck and hunting rig for the last 5 yrs just looking to change things up a bit. Any advice is appreciated.

That’s a decent list of mods. It’s something else to think about. The time & money required to get the replacement to how you want it to be.

Then I’m thinking about forced induction. Whatever you get will probably feel like a slug. What’s it going to take to get the replacement close or better. Is there a good reliable kit readily available by a reputable source.

With the list of mods, it’s gone past the point of the “normal” several that most people want and you are at the end of the bell curve where the value is a bit less because someone may be concerned about removing parts they don’t want, replacing with aluminum or stick (skids, bumpers), as well as the maintenance due on suspension, supercharger nose oil change (or rebuild), etc.

One important thing you don’t mention is service history and mechanical condition. 137k is “low” on average for a 2007, but if it’s all been rim rocker, crawling in Moab, those are harder miles.

To answer the question. $20k would probably have it sold in a few days. $25k would take weeks/months but still probably an easy-ish sale. Beyond that, I’m not convinced you’ll get much more unless someone is looking for most of those mods and know how much it would be to build out another truck with the cost of all that to them.

A friend asked me if I'd sell my 2008 Tacoma (4-door, 82,000 miles, garage-kept, mint condition, blah-blah-blah). I said yes but immediately countered with "but it to make it worth my while to sell, it wouldn't be worth yours to buy". He chuckled and asked what I'd sell it for - my response was $85,000 and specifically for the reasons you mentioned.

Thanks for the input. A little back story, I bought the truck in '18 bone stock with 90k on it, wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, well I liked it so the build was on and down the rabbit hole I went, LOL. I did 99% of the work myself and have really enjoyed the truck, but it's time for s new project. I know I'm taking a loss but I've gotten 6 yrs of service and fun out of the truck so that needs to be counted in my head also. I'm probably going to list it at 32,500 and hope to get 30. We'll see. Thanks again

Depends on the area, but you have to remember that modification really doesn't raise the value of used vehicles. You could list off the $15k of modifications, but that really won't get someone to pay $15k over the max bluebook price.

You would need to hold out for the right buyer, be patient and don't get pissed off about low-ball offers.
