    Just a tid bit,

    BFG at's are great.
General Grabber AT2s are great, But, better warranty, longer treadlife, and better reviews!!!

I had Procomp xtreme a/t's on my taco. Good tires, I bought them used and put about 30k on them. Still had good tread left. probably would have lasted another 20-25k miles if I kept them rotated frequently. like every other oil change

I will be buying the Nitto TG's next time if I want a AT tire. They look awesome, have great wear, and functional tread pattern almost like a MT.

i would go with the goodyear duratracs or bfg a/t but if you drive in snow or ice go with duratracs because you can stud them

Another vote for the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I haven't been off the highway with them yet, but on the highway they're smooth and quiet. Plus they look meaner than any other A/T tire out there.

I have the Nitto TG's and I love them. They perform well on the road and rain, as well as in the desert. But I have yet to use them in the snow on my truck, but they did really well in my old f150. This is my only set of offroad tires I have owned, but my dad has had all kinds of tires, high performance street Toyo's to huge super swampers and he said his favorite of all tires for a truck was the BFG A/T KO, and thats all he has run on his lifted trucks for awhile now, but he has told me numerous times how much he likes the Nitto's I have and would have a hard time choosing between.

This info is very helpful. It sounds like everyone is either saying:

    Nitto TGs
    BFG A/T
    Procomp xtreme a/t's
    hancook dynapro atm

At least we have narrowed them down. Time to do some research. Thanks all.

I'll also throw in a vote for the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

As for wear, I haven't seen anything that was decent in the snow/ice/mud/and rocks that was worth anything for tread wear on the highway. I drive almost all highway and mine are looking like they'll probably pull about 36000 miles, at best, on this set. However, they're very quiet, handle well on the highway and don't kill the mileage too badly....

    Good luck with the decision!

Just to throw it out there.. If you live in an area with snow and ice.. The Nitto TG's are not for you...

I was thinking about uniroyal liberator a/t's. Ive had great success with uniroyal tires in the past but they wernt the a/t's. I got 80,000 miles out of a set of uniroyal s/t's on my 4-runner. They were still in surprisingly good shape too...

Yea, more ice vs. snow. Well that rules those out I guess. Now what?

Nitto TG's are great tires, I know alot of people who say nothing but good things about them. I'm currently running BFG KM2s but I haven't put all that many miles on them to estimate how many miles I will get.

Ultimately I wanted the Toyo Open Country M/T's. Guy at the store told me (I actually believe him too) that you could easily expect 60k out of a set of those tires because the Tacoma is a light truck, and the tire is a very stiff tread.

BFG A/T's are a great tire as well. I've taken them in alot of mud and never had any issues with them. The sidewall tread is a very nice add to the latest versions of the tire.

    Good luck making your decision.
