This is the only way to deter smash and grab. Never leave anything in view. Thieves are opportunistic. They will almost never smash your window if there is nothing inside.

The push button start makes grand theft a little harder but not impossible

Good insurance. Thieves in Hawaii are are just loading Tacoma's on flatbeds and driving away.

New cars are pretty hard to steal. Car jacking is the mode of choice to take a modern truck- since your keys are in it.

Breaking in, you can't stop them.

If someone wants your shit bad enough, they are gonna get it. That's what insurance is for.

A steering wheel or a brake pedal lock just slows them slightly. Usually they just throw it on the ground to let you know that it doesn't stop them.

That's a fact. They may get it 20 yards or so, but they'll give up after awhile.

One of the reasons I don't like having a boost gauge for my supercharger is that I feel like it makes me way more of a target for GTA, especially since the gauge is nestled right up against the window in plain view. But I reckon most thieves can't drive a stick shift, and most that think they can probably don't want to hassle with taking a few minutes to get used to how it feels before they can speed off. It really is a great theft deterrent...

...now excuse me while I go find some wood to knock on in case I just jinxed myself.

Yup. people think they're towing or repossessing so they don't say anything. Steal them mid day with tons of people around.
