New to TW and happy to find you guys.

I spend 6 months in Baja and wanted to get your guys advice on what Is the best suspension/tires for my 2006 4x4 double cab.

I bought this truck to tackle Baja and found out last year that the stock TRD suspension left a bit to be desired. Also, I feel I need a lift because I am sick of dragging the freaking mud flaps.

Budget ~$3,500 for tires and suspension

    Wants:
To be able to fly down washboard roads at 40 to 60 MPH and not rattle the truck to pieces.

Try not to kill the gas mileage (reason I bought this truck)

2 to 3 inch lift and level the truck

Good in the sand, a must!

Probably go with the BFG AT, since the have never failed me, but not sure what size?

Thanks for your help and advice!

    Chris

Eagle Alloy's 058 on Goodyear BFG All Terrians . 265/75/16. Kenwood Stereo, 12" JL Audio Sub. Led Lighting interior. Led Turn Signals. Custom Bumper ,Total Chaos Long travel Sway away shocks, glassworks fenders, ,Spintech Super Pro street muffler, Hellas 500ff HID Converted, Window Tint,Black Emblems, Deckplate, , Deaver Prerunner Pack, Bilstein 7100's 12" SB's and Sway Away 2" Air Bumps
Id say replacements coilovers and rear pack with rear shocks with resi's basically a mid travel kit, with as you mentioned BFG AT 285/75/ basically a 11.5" 33" tire.

Ok, King's front and back it is. However, they recommend 265/75. I am pretty sure I want a bit larger tires than this. 275 or 285.

Should i upgrade the wheels later to save some cash now, or just bite the bullet and replace the wheels and tires now? Thoughts on what this will do to my Gas mileage?

Should I stay with the stock 16" wheels? Benefits to 17"? If I buy new wheels should they be 16" or 17"?

    Thanks for your guys help!

Stay with the stock 16s. If you go with a bigger tire you will lose some MPG.

Stay with the stock 16s if you like them, If you want 33s you will need to run a spacer in the front
