I want to fit 285/70R17s -5 offset rim
    I already have BMC done
I want a shock thats great on road without alot of body roll, and can still rip down light to moderate trails. I also want at least 3 inches of lift but not more than 6, lift kit needs to include UCAs an add a leaf or new leafs. Ive been looking at Rough Country’s 3.5 inch lift with vertex coilovers, I like that they include new U bolts for 2700$, Icon’s Stage 4 3.5 inch lift kit with Billet UCAs for 3700$, and Bilstein 5100s 3.0 inch lift from toytec for 1200$ I would buy beefy UCAs along with that one as it doesn’t include any. Is there any that im missing and owners of these lifts let me know how you like them.
My Budget is around 3.5k US

Stay around a maximum of 2" - 2.5" of lift up front. With your budget I'd reccomend bilstein 6112's up front with 5160's in the rear paired with deaver j66 leafs and uppers of your choice. Depending on upper selection this will put you around the $3k price range

Will 2.5 inches clear those tires when flexed?

One of the biggest misconceptions about IFS lifts is that more lift equals more room for bigger tires. This is only true at ride height. For example, let's say you have 8" of total travel in the front. 4" up and 4" down. You lift the truck 2". You still only have 8" of total travel, only now your sitting someplace different in your range of travel. 6" up and 2" down. You following? The tire still travels through the same path. Best way to look at it is if the tire rubs at stock height.....then it will rub lifted. 285's will require slight plastic trimming.

Go with Ironman Foam Cell Pro lift kit. I have it on my 2013 tacoma Baja and it's awesome. Comes with everything. Front coilovers (adjustable with spanner wrench), swaybar relocation kit, driveshaft carrier bearing drop kit, leafsprings, rear shocks, u bolts, and there's a kit that comes with their upper control arms. I bought the kit without the upc's because I already have SPC's installed.

They are including free reco tracks with purchase and discount code. I'm kinda pissed off though, I bought my lift kit March 1st not knowing they were giving free reco traks starting march 9th-24th. Free shipping also.

    not a very big tire
nor does that need a lot of lift

    rough country? No.
Don't see why a UCA should be billet and cost more. There is welded tube.

    you've listed a highest of $3700
then why are you even mentioning 5100
    rough country
and not mentioning anything else, whether that be 6112/5160 or otherwise.

No problem I had them set the front to 2.75" when they put the 314 springs on and lowered the passenger side to 2.5" for the lean because of the tank and battery, driver all being on the left no need to put a 1/4" spacer in.

I did the 5100’s from Toytec, but I went with the 3” front shocks, I love mine and the way it rides! Up front!IMG_2533.jpgand the rest of the kit I addedIMG_3766.jpgi also added the drivers side front spacer to prevent the drivers side front lean that Tacomas are famous for!IMG_3488.jpg

can’t the left strut simply be adjusted to height, since it’s adjustable height, to compensate for taco lean rather than using the spacer

I think 5100's are different from the 6112
