KM2's do amazing in deep snow! They can dig like crazy! It's plowed icy roads that people say they suck on but I haven't had them even falter so far on icy roads. Handle just as well as any other tire I have driven on icy roads.

interco ssr or interco trxus, experienced both in cold icy slushy winter conditions on daily drivers. for the haters or unaware, these are radial tires that drive great!

Duratracs first time in the snow. We got 9 inches overnight and it's still snowing hard. So far they are awesome for go, stop and steer.

I have roughly 30k on my Duratracs which see majority highway miles and they are wearing pretty well. I think they have good life left in them.

My Open Country MT have worked wonderfully going to and from our family's mountain house in Tahoe. Certainly a quantum leap over the Dungflops.

Here's a couple pics of tread pattern, sorry none in snow.

    ...too much shit to list.
For what it's worth, the local PD up here run studded Duratracs in the winter.

I'm still a proponent for Hankook MTs.

This is my first winter with KM2's and I have to agree with others they don't seem great so far on slushy/icy roads. We have had a couple one inch coatings of snow followed by rain. Take a turn from a stop or accelerate a little on a tight turn and I'm spinning a wheel if I'm not real gentle about it.

I got 38,000+miles on my last set. There was room for another 5000 or so, but not in the snow. I do rotate every 3000miles and I pay attention to psi. (38-40).

Realistically, I think 40,000 to 45,000 would be pretty good for them. I've read that others have gotten more out of them, and less. I am very happy with them all around...I even bought a new set of them a few weeks back.
Load range D is what mine are!

    Good luck with yours...:D

I run 285/70/17 on a 17x9 wheel with 4.5" of back spacing. I do have rubbing at full lock! An 8" wide wheel would be a much better choice, with the same back spacing.

Originally, I ran the 285 on the factory wheel with a lot less rubbing. I used 1.25" spacers to keep the tire off the UCA.

Before I stepped up to the 285s, I had 265/70/17 on factory wheels, no spacers, with a 2" coil spacer and an AAL with no rubbing at all!:D

I'll be in Fairport this afternoon if you are around the area, pm me if you want to meet up!

I really liked how the original BFG KM's worked myself. Too bad they stopped making them, the KM2's aren't nearly as good in the snow.
