What's the best way to add lighting up in attic?

i just had some additional storage space added to my attic this morning. the existing storage floor already had a light bulb on its side, but now i got this other side thats totally pitch black. whats the most cost effection way to add a light source up there? I thought about one of those small touch lights LED thaat run on batteries. Can batteries handle the heat up there in the summer months though? Any suggestions?

 

Did you have it sheet rocked?

If not, just run power off the light fixture to a new one.

 

Run a jumper over from the other light

 

It's not a hard project. Just go down to the "big box" home improvement store, browse their book selection and pick up the one on home wiring.

There'll be about a two page section that describes how to do what these guys are talking about. Easy. Inexpensive.
