I'm totally new to all this kinda stuff, i've been reading a lot on here but it's rather overwhelming...does anyone have any info or recommendations on a relatively cheap way to level my 2016 taco? Pictures, links anything is very appreciated thanks! (I'm happy with the stock feel of the OR I have, just want to raise to nose)

Just drive the lowest end of the truck onto ramps of the appropriate height... Then use a "level" to see if you got it, if not, add more stuff under the wheels.. You can use 2X6's if you don't have ramps....

I just leveled mine today, so I can check the tranny fluid level tomorrow..

I'd take a pic, but I'm too lazy right now.... My truck is sitting on the ramps in the driveway..!

Real trucks that get used as trucks don't need no stinking leveling!

If you get a leveling kit you just end up with a truck with a bro lean when you actually go to use your truck as a truck ...

    IMG_0862_963b56bb8696823f70e6e2d13ac598ce8c0b1196.jpg

... Why anyone would be okay with that is beyond me, but different strokes for different folks I guess ...

Besides, trucks with a rake look badass

    vin_ray10-25_lowres_zpsqpjehqrx_84192d54e8236b14312daf1c7ad9143e3f0f14ba.jpg

But if you have to level, probably the best way to do it with minimal (to no) impact on ride quality I would go with Bilsteins 5100 set at 0.85. If you want to keep a slight rake with that, 1/2" shims for the rear are a great choice :)

40# bags of topsoil at the very back of the bed (think fulcrum). Not only will the back go down, the front will lift too. When you get enough to be level, quit.

More practical might be a topper or other gear to haul full time to weigh it down.

Mine needs to be leveled, because I'm checking the tranny fluid tomorrow... It HAS to be level to get an accurate reading..!

I had to use ramps and a few 2x6 pieces in my driveway to get it there, but I got it.

After this it won't be level for a while, I guess.?:notsure:

I was looking at those, seemed like a popular choice...this might be the dumbest question ever but, do you know if using those fucks with my warranty on the truck at all?

Yes. Of course the shocks themselves will not be Toyota warrantied. And a jerk dealer would fight you on anything else they could point to those changes impacting. (basically things affected by the shock/spring compression, which isn't much).

But in general, aftermarket parts certainly don't negate the entire warranty.

Bilstein's are an adjustable shock that can be put inside of the front coil spring. The height settings are ,0",.85", 1.75", and 2.something. The higher the setting, the more preload is in the spring, hader ride. The Bilstein 5100 shock is a good entry level shock upgrade, most guys use them at 0" with taller aftermarket springs, this is the better way, less stiff.

5100s come with a snap ring and 4 settings for your coil seat. Bottom setting is 0 and considered stock. Next snap ring setting up is .85, then 1.75, then 2.25. The highest you'll want to go with a 2016 with minimal issues and correct alignment is .85. This will put your truck perfectly even with the rear and will give your truck a great ride.
