Well guys, I need to retract me post from earlier today. I went to the dealer to take delivery this evening to find out that they couldn't sell me the truck. The manager had received a confirmation on my build before the cancellation could be processed and now the truck is scheduled to be built on 11/3/2017. He confirmed the availability of the new OF/PQ/TP options for the truck and at this point Toyota has accepted the order and placed it within his allocation. The dealer order form didn't show the black and orange leather option but it did show the black w/ graphite leather interior so we stuck with that. Those options were the only items listed so it's unlikely that we'll have any other surprises, but I may be wrong. I suppose anything beyond that would just be icing on the cake eh?

Where do you live? My dealer let me about 6 weeks ago. We even wrote up the agreement with all the things I wanted (2018 TRD PRO, Cavalry Blue, Manual). They said I was first in line at their dealership, but they'd have to wait for their first manual transmission allocation.

I appreciate that report brother.. I'm trying to keep my patience waiting for the release as my '99 KC is very tired and I'm sick of dumping $$ into it. I'm sure we'll see an official release in about two more weeks, maybe less.

Was the order actually allowed in their system or did they take it only on "paper" ?

For what it's worth, my salesman told me about 10 days ago that they were just able to place the order for the truck I wanted. I put a deposit down in early August. Still no price, as of today. And his estimated time that they would receive it is mid to late Nov. Says he'll notify me when it gets to GST and we'll then know a price, so we can sit down & actually write up the sale.

But nothing truly on paper yet. I will update as I get the info.

I only saw the paper copy, and I do assume it isn't in the actual system yet.

Regardless, I do like the fact that I'm "first in line" at their dealership. I tried ordering a 2017 TRD PRO last year from the same dealer, and they told me they wouldn't have any more allocations for Pro's with a manual transmission. The same dealer helped me get three of my coworkers TRD PRO 4Runners in the past year, so I do trust them more than I would most dealerships.

my dealer has said I will be first to order and will have any option I want including the trd pro if that is what I want. I do not want an Auto trans not Manual. Either way he said as soon as it will take in system he I will get it. It is my local dealer in the smaller town I live in and I have purchased many vehicles from them over 25 years. He just wont take it till he can put it in system. He said price will also be available at same time we order. My guess is it will be about $1500 more than the 17 model due to it will now have leather and the new safety features.

    Same here man,

I'm ready for SET to update their website and let me build the SR DC 4x4 I want and see what the cost is.

Then compare to an SR5 and go from there.

Oh and then try and compare it to a 4Runner as that may serve the family needs better, lol...

talked to 2 dealers today, both are saying they can't
place an order - not for another couple weeks at least.

If you don't mind me asking; why are you looking to trade up? From your sig, it appears you have a very nice set-up already.

Also, I'm wondering if the "order portal" is only open to certain regions? For instance, I live in Michigan so perhaps only states in the surrounding area are able to order? Just a thought...

Seems crazy that it is already October and there is still a question between dealers about whether they can order. I have never heard of this on a relatively unchanged model year. Very weird.

I love the Cement. I can't imagine I'd get a decent enough deal to make the
switch though, considering I have about 6k in this one in mods which would make
    the loss that much worse.

That and I'm already down to $6850 for my payoff.

I've been checking toyota.com every morning crossing fingers to see the 2018 up and ready to order. Also checking this thread as well and yea it seems like i should just wait at least till mid October to see if any update. I am hoping I can hold off, just to see what the difference is for sure on the 2018 compared to the 2017. If its not a huge deal to me then im going to find a deal on a 2017.
