I wonder how they came up with a projected price if there hasn't been a price released yet? Some are expecting a price increase because of TSS. The '18 Tundra price went up $1200 but when the Corolla got TSS in '17 there wasn't a price increase so who know how much if any price increase will apply to the Tacoma.

It was a "best guess" according to them. They also mentioned they were probably going to be on the high side.

By them do you mean Toyota or the dealership? If Toyota guessed I would say it may be close. If the dealership guessed that's all it would be, a guess.

Hey I see ur from tulsa. I work in tulsa and live in Bartlesville. I'm waiting to order my 18 tacoma. I'm leaning toward trd off road premium and tech but part of me is thinking trd pro in that Calvary blue. Hard to decide for sure. Wish I could see that Calvary blue in pro tacoma to see.

Watching commercials brainwashed me into buying a colorado. Traded it off 6 months to the day and bought my 4 popper Tacoma.

Dealership. So yes, it's a guess. Will be interesting to see how close it is.

I got a 16 colorado diesel crew z71. Has 47k miles and pretty good truck overall. It does seem to feel like it is really starting to rattle lots of places. I'm trading for 18 tacoma. To me tacoma interior us much nicer looking and seems better put together. I think colorado is better seating position and power seats. My biggest negative of the tacoma the seat position and up and down . Plus steering wheel needs to telescope more. But they all have pros and cons

Off topic: Would you care to elaborate on what your ownership experience was like? I like the look and current pricing I see on the 2017s, but won't buy anything made by GMC.

The only Chevrolet I ever owned was a 2012 Traverse for a look, and it was absolute trash. Must have had it in the shop 4 or 5 times while I owned it.

Only car that topped that for being the most unreliable was my 2015 Focus ST. After one year of ownership, and multiple visits to the dealer, I was so happy to sell it for what I owned on it.

Seat doesn't bother me too much, but the steering wheel does. I suppose they really go hand in hand though.

Door seals leaked, Got tired of GM customer care, Didn't like the cable dip stick, Or the cheap plastic lever to adjust the back of the seats, Didn't care for the way you open the gas tank door, I had it built without the back seats and that deleted the carpet and they put black vinyl on the floor which I would not of minded if they would not of pieced it in. I could tell it was going to curl up at the seams in a year or so. Had a couple more things I did not like but I cannot think of them at the moment. Oh, the seats hurt the back of my legs...

I do miss the V6 and the step on each rear bumper corner, Those were nice. Miss the cruise control on the V6 also. You could cruise up hills and the V6 would not drop a gear like this 4 popper Tacoma does. Also the chebby V6 would pin you back in the seat when you went to pass someone. This 4 popper will get you killed in a head on wreck if you don't allow plenty of time to pass. I don't try anymore after a few close calls.

Who will you be dealing with? As close as you are to the Kansas border, you might look at the small dealer in independence Kansas. I almost bought my 2016 from them but Jim Norton in Tulsa finally came through for me. If I wasn't ordering a pro, I'd get pricing from both. You have a unique opportunity of being local to 2 Toyota territories. That means you will be pulling from two allocation lists.

I ordered a white pro, but I bet the Calvery blue with some bronze/copper wheels would look awesome!

I received an update from the dealer yesterday on my order - based on what they're seeing in their system, my truck has a scheduled build date of 11/17. Based on this I would have to imagine Toyota will release the truck anytime now.

It seems odd that they missed the mark by not releasing it during the Texas State Fair. I can't think of any other large events between now and then except for SEMA, but that's more aftermarket than manufacture. Has Toyota been known to quietly release these changes with a simple website update? Perhaps Toyota just does what they want with no rhythm or reason?

Yeah. You're not likely to see a big to do about a grill redesign and some option package updates.

Once upon a time Toyota would release it's new cars all at the same time. The problem with this was that dealerships would receive all the new year inventory all at the same time. This would cause a panic for the dealership to get the PDIs done, washed and preped for the lots. To make thing easier at the dealership the new cars are released in a staggered fashion. The Tacoma just happened to be released at a later date along with the Sienna.

Last year I remember the 2017 4runners weren’t released until 12/16 even though nothing major was added to the 2017 4runners.
I guess it was the tacomas turn to be released late this year.

I called a nearby dealer and pricing (invoice, options, etc) is supposed to be released to them this month. So in the next week or three.
