Really? Damn, good to know! When I was commuting to work (and thus buying mostly Honda brand) the manual options only saved ~$500 or so -- if anything at all. I say manual all the things!

That's not that good of a deal. My 2017 Limited with a few OEM options (tonneau, steps, bed light) was $4,900 off MSRP and that was back in May.

Nice! How did you find it? Through Toyota or a 3rd party site?

Just out of curiosity, do you have any documents showing that is what you paid?

I would consider just working with a competitive-price dealer and "order" the exact truck you want from the factory. I just did this. The downside is that I may have to wait longer than if I was searching wide and driving far for an already-made truck. The problem is, we could not find an existing truck in inventory anywhere (yet) that had the exact specs I wanted. So I said screw it, let's just order it!

Took between 3 and 4 months to get my 17 after ordering, but it was worth the wait.

I am fine with 3 or 4 months, I would actually prefer it.
I am going to drop by the local dealership one day this week at lunch and have a chat with the sales manager and my sales guy to see what we can come up with.

Yep, I think that's at the longer end of the wait spectrum but it's possible. I can deal with it. Hell, I figure it's just extra time I can enjoy without a car payment. I can save more money for my upgrades, too.

    My same thought process....
Hell, I want to order stuff now with the Black Friday, holiday pricing..... But I need to hold off until I have the keys to the truck, should the deal fall through. I need to be able to walk away....

Can we see some unaltered docs on that?

Gsabe above calls BS on that.

    I am curious as well.

Would the dealer let you have 265/75R16 for the same price?

For those who have waited 3-4 months after ordering, were you able to keep your previous car until delivery? I'm guessing yeah, but thought I'd ask anyways.

Thanks for the heads up. If this were a 3rd vehicle I wouldn't care, but this will replace my daily driver.
