I heard they are going to be swapping the 3.5 for Hydrogen powered engines in for 2018...heard it from a reliable source too

I heard the 18s are definitely going to chatter when you brake at around 45mph.

Fair enough. Sorry for snapping at you, bad day here. I have family making their yearly monthlong visit to escape the heat of Florida and driving me crazy. Damn Florida!

This has probably been covered before so I apologize. So only TRDs have the power slider rear window? SR and SR5 are still manual sliders?

That's a TRD optioned truck. I'm seeking clarification if the SR and SR5 models have the power slider.

TRD models have the power slider on 17s. Sr5 and below have the manual slider. It remains to be seen if a power slider will be an option on the sr5 for 18.

Only Double Cab TRD's have the power rear slider. My '17 Access Cab TRD off road is a manual slider still :(

Bummer. Makes sense though. Pretty easy to reach back and slide it when within arms length of the drivers seat.

There's some documentation out showing cement will be a color option on the 2018 TRD Offroad Tundras. Not sure if that's true or not. If it is I'm curious if it will also be a color option for any 2018 Tacomas.

I have a access cab and I cannot just reach back and slide the window open. Like to see someone do that though. Amazing feats just amaze the heck out of me.

I used to own an access cab and it was a piece of cake to reach, and I'm short 5'8". Now with my double cab its impossible unless i get out of my seat :/ damn 16 tacos didn't come with power slider..... that will change soon.

My apologies for making a blanket statement. I just know at 5'7" I had no issues reaching back and sliding the window in my extended cab for all the years I had it. Kind of assumed if a short guy like me could reach that most others could as well :notsure:

Same boat when I went to 2nd gen DC. Sold the 2nd gen and now that I know only the TRDs doubles have the power slider, the SR5 DCLB is no longer an option if I go with a 3rd gen for the new ride.

I never had any issues reaching the sliding rear window in my previous Access Cabs.
