I decided to pass on the pro.. I couldn't justify spending the extra for the status and parts that are almost worthless to me. I'll lift my OR with a superior lift, throw some new shoes on it and get skids/sliders and still be under $40k. What makes the Pro worth that much more?

Could have bought a black TRD Pro tonight for 46,000. But it had the graphics package and the steps. $1350 for crap I dont want. The graphics looks silly, almost ghosted. I would have removed them. Couldnt justify just throwing away $700. I know many wonder why ppl spend 45000 for the pro. For me its the truck I want and I dont ever plan on lifting it, so Sliders and a roof rack and I am done.

I'm the same. I don't want to mess with doing the things myself. Pro to me is a decent enough set up all ready done. I agree the graphics are not my taste, but i know many like them.

And for those who do want to and/or know how to to build their own trucks to a pro or beyond, I get that too. I just dont have the ability myself or the patience or need to have it done by someone else.

Suspension upgrade, wheel upgrade, exhaust upgrade, tire upgrade, grille upgrade, interior upgrade, skid plate upgrade, fog light upgrade etc....don’t forget the sweet Pro badges too.

So yah, that stuff isn’t free. That’s why the pro costs more.

Brace yourself...I dropped 48 large on Mine. It was the most heavily optioned pro I have seen. (Bed step, tablet holder, graphics, tube steps, GBS, etc) Ton of stuff I didn’t need or necessarily want. But now that I have it, it’s awesome. Every time I get in my truck, I think “48k, totally worth every red cent”....that was MSRP too. I’m sure most pro owners feel the same way. :D

I take no responsibility if you injure yourself after reading this. :boom::headbang::oldglory:

Only reason I didnt buy the black one tonight was the graphics... Just couldnt throw $700 in the garbage. I would have rocked the predator steps till I upgraded to allpro sliders. But the black on black graphics just looked silly to me. I know many love the murdered out look and ghosted graphics. Its just not for me. My choice of color has always been white. So I will wait till my stormtrooper comes in!!!! I will have a Pro within a couple months!!!!!

I liked the black and almost couldnt walk away... I have been waiting for my truck since July!!!! Got offered a White 2017 in October that they told me was an 2018 till the day before I was supposed to pick it up. It was amazing to drive this truck today. My build date is 1/20. Should have it by mid feburary.

Last NEW Tacoma I bought was a brand new 1995 in white. First year of the Tacoma and I paid 22,500. Everyone thought I paid way to much for that truck. Best truck I ever owned!!!! Cant wait for it to come.

That does sound kinda pricey for a 95, I paid 21,100 for my 2000 when I bought it new.
