    I hardly think black is the only color. There is a big difference in personally liking a color, and realistically thinking a color will be "coveted". I LOVE the inferno color, but it's hard to call it coveted, when it doesn't sell. Coveted would mean it's popular and a color that the average person strives to own, which I can't see this bizarre blue color being.

    I see they had brains enough to keep the 4.0 L V6. Odd, what with the 3.5 being so much better and all....

    Well it's still the same 4Runner. It's not a new gen. When the new one comes out, I highly doubt the 4.0 will still be in it. Time will tell, though.

    The 4.0 is being phased out. As soon as this generation 4Runner is done. So is the 4.0

    "Not that bad" is far from a glowing endorsement.

    A fellow that rides with us sometimes has a Kymco 300, that's how those of us that have ridden it describe it...

    Not that bad, I guess without some body language can be interpreted many ways. It's better tuned but it's still a little na v6. It's never going to have lots of torque, it's a 3.5. Over 4k rpm it comes to life though and that's not optimal for this type of truck in my opinion.

    Best reason I could think of for someone that wants a 4Runner to buy one now...

    I like that color on the 4Runner. I think I will like it on the Tacoma but sometimes things don't translate. Also, seeing it in person vs. on a screen is a whole other litmus test to pass. But, I had a (and still love the) Voodoo Blue FJ though so who am I to judge...

    Haha, true. Just the name Kymco makes me laugh.
    Anyway, my 2016 just got 25,000 miles and I give the engine an "ok" rating, which is really a bummer.
    I'm hoping a tune and an exhaust will get it into the lower range of good.. we'll see.

    Not much stock left.
    No Cement option on the 4Runner. I wonder if that will translate over to the Taco? I know that the rumor is that they will have one, but...

    I kinda like the blue personally. My only experience is seeing it on some of the FJs. What I don't understand is why isn't Toyota a bit more "universal" on some things? Cement is only available on the 2017 TRD Pros, but will be available across the trim line for 2018. Yet, Calvary Blue is going to be exclusive to the 2018 TRD Pros only. It's like the manual trans..... you can only get them in a 5spd with the base model 4cyd or you have to pony up for a TRD Sport/Off Road if you want the 6spd V6. I'm thinking if I want a TRD Offroad in Calvary Blue, I need to hold out til the '19s come out :confused:

    If I could get a 2017 Calvary Blue SR5 4X4 DCSB V6/MT, I'd probably be driving one now.

    You are correct about Toyota being odd about offering options across the Tacoma line, sometimes it doesn't make any sense.

    The 2011 through 2017 eBrochures have disclaimer/disclosure sections that speak to availability of individual options and packages--this is from the 2017 eBrochure (2011 through 2017 have this same language):

    [IMG]

    eBrochures prior to 2010 (I have 2001 through 2017--see my post here) do not seem to include this quite specific language--they have statements like:

    "A vehicle with particular equipment may not be available at the dealership. Ask your Toyota dealer to help locate a specifically equipped vehicle." (2005);

    and

    "This vehicle eBrochure is designed to identify vehicles commonly available in your area. If you would prefer to purchase a vehicle with no options or additional
    options, please contact your local dealer to check for current availability or the possibility of placing an order for such a vehicle." (2010);

    Hoping what I've heard is true: minor issue fixes, leather option on lower trim TRD models, cement in non-pro, metallic black paint option, Toyota safety sense standard.

    I'd take a black, TRD sport or off-road, premium and tech pkg, manual trans. Please.

    Here's the 2018 Build sheet for those interested. Just ordered a white pro. Couple things I'm trying to figure out though...

    - I'm guessing moon roof is still not an option.
    - JBL? Seems odd it's not part of the package

    Enjoy.
