There is. There's also configs you can get in US that you can't get in Canada as well. There are some threads about it on here. I haven't read much into it but it's not an easy process and it will cost you some coin.

I hope so!!! I emailed corporate about this, practically begging them to offer this setup here. Got the standard 'we seriously consider all feedback, etc.' statement, but at least I made it known. If we all crab at them, maybe it will become available in the near future.

If you're not needing it right away, I would say wait for the 2018. I do expect some current issues on the '17 to be worked out, plus you'll have some other slight cosmetic refinements and most likely a new paint color or two to choose from. May even have a new engine (although that would surprise me). We're already into May, so just wait.

I wouldn't be. GM has a bad habit of pricing their vehicles too high and offering weird option packages. Only a few diehard GM lovers will buy them. The PRO will end up being an overall better value, you watch.

The ZR2 will have a new suspension system developed by Canadian suspension gurus, Multimatic. It will probably revolutionize performance suspension, with something called Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve damper technology. There's a lot of air under a ZR2 and no need to lift them like you have to do with Tacos. They will have front and rear locking differentials that can be configured into 9 different drive configurations. Time will tell, I haven't seen one yet, but the real off road guys will find them if they're good, and Toyota will finally have some truck competition for the first time since the Hilux entered the market in 1980.

Yeah and it will have a diesel option, that a lot of guys are going to love. Even the gas engine is 308 HP and has an 8 speed auto.

Sounds all fine and dandy, but I know GM. If it isn't overpriced, it'll be a unicorn and you won't see one at the dealers but they'll be all over the forums telling you how great they are(6.2 engine anyone?). I can put my hand on 4 Pro's within 75 miles of me. I'm not saying the new ZR2 won't have cool features, but if anyone can screw it up GM can.

And the sad thing is with their discounts, they are still higher than a Tundra of compatible equipment.

I've been following the ZR2 and they are rolling out in quantity. Big dealers have multiples. I don't know if they have solved the long term reliability issues, but GM has done a good job with this truck. If you took the badges off and asked people to drive the Taco and the ZR2, I think a lot of Tacoma fans would be impressed with the ZR2.
I hope it pushes Toyota to make some improvements in 2018.

So Safety Sense is coming in 2018 to the Tacoma?

If so, will it be the whole package or just the TSS-P?

Front and rear locking diffs would be a great start, especially in a truck like the Pro. Also, the new multimatic suspension in the ZR2 is off road ready, and doesn't require after market additions and folk engineering like the Tacomas do. I get it, guys like buying stuff, and "upgrading" their trucks but superior technology like that Multimatic suspension and a diesel engine, locking front and rear diffs etc. will always triumph over a brand name at the end of the day.

Well they increased the size of the radio knobs on the 2017's.... so I'm also hoping for great things in the 2018's.....

Toyota is always behind on tech, design, and safety. They will spend the time and fix the 3rd gen issues. In few years this rig will be solid and selling like crazy. There is a reason they hold so much value.

That Chevy drops $5k in value once it leaves the lot.
