    Nostalgia.

    Everybody is near and dear to what they've had for years. It's a part of them now so they overlook the issues they had in the begging. It's always the same complaints with new vehicles. They're too heavy, too many wires, they are unreliable, blah blah blah. Well then why did you buy you're third Tacoma then? lol

    I wonder if the SR trim will have the same grill.

    I wonder too. The 2018 tundra SR gets the same grille as the the SR5, limited, and TRD models. I saw a 2018 Tundra SR last week when I was getting my maintenance done.

    The tundra grilled are nice in person. The honeycomb design fills in pretty nice. Wish they would of used the same grille for the Tacoma but this new Tacoma grille is a vast improvement over the chrome cheese grater.

    I bet the chrome on the grille interfered somehow with the safety sense. Just like how the BSM somehow wouldn't work with the chrome bumper so it is painted with the P&T package on the Off Road.

    Of course they may just be listening to their customers, but why start now? :rolleyes:

    Gonna be expensive when people want a pro grill with safety sense, cause that radar toyota logo won't fit on the pro grill

    If you look in the back side of the Pro Grille there is a boxed section, I believe that is there for the safety sense stuff, looks like they were planning ahead.

    Yes but it's a completely different shape than the radar toyota badge.

    Has anyone actually seen a 2018 pro and/or pro grill?:confused:

    Since they have changed the logo, the grill on the OR and Sport.... any chance they could actually change the pro grill??
    :eek::rofl::eek:

    Just sayin'! :rolleyes:

    Pro grill was already designed with TSS in mind so no there shouldn't be a change.

    Sorry.. Missed quoting @LawTaco ...
    My meaning was the new badge (likely the same radar badge used in other models or a slight variant) may or may not be used on the pro. I am sure it is possible to put the instrument cluster behind plastic much like the BSM. So the badge shape not matching may mean nothing if it behind the grill it does not need to be "dolled up".

    Was wondering the same thing, everybody stated like it's fact ! but it could be just a big plastic box and has nothing to do with the new 2018 pro grill with safety features. It's possible the 2018 pro could have a whole new grill , isn't it ? Or do we have pictures of it somewhere. Some people are claiming there will be no 2018 Pro.

    I'm thinking the Pro Grill will be slightly redesigned. If you notice on all cars that have the dynamic cruise control, it will have a smooth front surface for the radar to pick up accurate readings. That's why the non-pro grills on the 2018 needed to be changed from a cut-out logo to a smooth logo. For the sensor to work on the Pro grill, they would need to make the word TOYOTA on the front grill smooth or they would have to add the sensor under the logo (kind of like the Mercedes S-Class with the smooth black tinted plastic between the grill).
