I think those pics are a Sport AC, if that's the case, the AC doesn't have a power slider, hoping that's the new for '18 AC cargo light switch though.

    B) Buy a 2018 once the 2018s come out?
    C) Buy a 2017 right now?

Just speculating, but a few good reasons to wait might be leather, safety features ..yes, some people do want them, despite the negative comments here, possible LED lights, hopefully improvements to the commonly reported issues, <-- probably not, but I figure it doesn't hurt to wait. I'd really be kicking myself if they did improve on those points and I bought a '17. Plus, once the '18s are on the lot, the '17s will be super easy to get a deal on...if you can find the one you want, of course. That's the game for those willing to play it. As for me, I'm stuck in a lease for at least until spring, so the choice is out of my hands.

Radar cruise. Makes driving on the interstate when your in traffic less annoying. It will lock onto the car in front of you and maintain and match it's speed. Automatic highbeams and automatic braking are another plus. Lane departure and blind spot monitoring I couldn't care less but it can be turned off.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
With many insurance companies, the coverage rates may go down on the 18's . When we bought our 15 Subaru Outback, after we sold our 08 CRV, our insurance rates went down. Our agent was surprised, but after checking, he found out the company gives breaks for the car having the "Subaru Eyesight" system. If they had it on the Tacoma 17's, I would have added it to my truck

I have a deposit on an 18. Sales guy reports that they'll be built in October and start arriving in November. Would love to get it by Thanksgiving for a camping trip, but I'm expecting December.

Maybe I'm in the minority, and maybe I need to see this in person, but I feel like this design is even worse than the cheese grater from the 16-17s. I'll stick with the SR grille I bought off Craigslist...

If anyone does attend the Texas State Fair to check out the 2018's, be sure to talk to the Toyota reps there. Last year they had $500 manufacturer rebates for Tacomas. I filled one out and took it home, I had already ordered my 2017 TRD OR but was awaiting for it to come in. The rebate expired at the end of November, the truck came in on November 28th. Whipped it out during financing - sales guy said he had never seen a free rebate on the Tacoma like that (not tied to student or military or something), but they honored it, another $500 off the top!
