whats the coldest temp you have started your taco in

Set a new record for my 2nd Gen yesterday AM; it was -18 when I left for work.
Sloooooow crank.

 

I think it was -23F degrees. But not long after I got it, it was parked at the airport for 2 weeks. It got down into the -20's and never over 10F for the entire two weeks. When I got in it to start it up it was about 6 or 8 degrees. I was worried since it had been sitting in the cold for so long. No problems. It started right up!

It was -24C(-11F) yesterday morning. Truck was parked for two days .Remote start wouldn't turn over long enough to fire up. Got dressed got her going with the key. Took a few minutes before she started to purr. Got to love winters in Quebec lol

 

-26C (-15F) yesterday. No issues with starting.

 

-51C so I guess that's -59 ish F it was plugged in and started but it hated me for doing it.

 

5 Degrees F here in my neck of the woods ( connecticut ). Still on the factory battery and after a few cranks she fired up.

 

Can we crank these trucks with remote start while they are still plugged in to the block heater? Would that hurt anything?

I start mine plugged in every morning, no problems to report.

 

I didn't know how to react when it was 28 degrees this morning in louisiana. Truck started like a champ

 

Less than 4 months old, 1600 miles. Started with the Viper remote starter this morning while standing next to it so I could listen to it and stop it if any problems.



Started OK with the remote. However 1) slowly, a battery upgrade wouldn't hurt. 2) Really wish I had switched to synthetic already it really sounded bad for the first minute or so. 3) I had to remind myself why the hell I moved to Mn.....

 

I'm gonna get up in the middle of the night and start mine since I'll finally make one of the options to vote in.

 

-3F today... She whined for a brief second but sucked it up like a big girl and turned over.

 

Just started it in -12 f, with wind chill its -30 f. Little sluggish but she did it

 

I can tell you how cold it doesn't start in haha -60 wind chill last night and no luck this morning. Should be fine now that's it's warmed up some (-30 wind chill haha) but I'm not leaving the house today if I don't have to.

 

12°F right now with wind chill at -4°F... only another 2 hours er so and i can finally enter this poll!

 

2007 on the original battery with 102000 miles. Started slowly but it was -13f. Brrrrrrr! Stopped to fill up but the cap was froze and wouldn't budge. Maybe tomorrow when it gets above zero.

 

-30s in Maine last winter...sooo glad I'm outta that weather

 

-8F this morning, no hesitation.

 

Truck sat at work for 12 hours today with air temp of 1' F with -15' F windchill. Coldest I've started it at, for sure. No issues other than then clutch pedal returning a little slower until I drove it for a minute or so.
