I think this morning was the coldest I've started mine up @ 5 F. It cranked for a good 3-4 seconds then started up with a brief whine noise, which extinguished immediately.

-4 yesterday afternoon. Made the same starter noise - almost like the starter disengaged from the flywheel but spun another second.

This morning was the coldest I've started it. Temp guage said 12 degrees. It took a good 2-3 seconds to start, but once it did it ran like a champ. No problems. Even the wife's Rav4 started like it should this morning. Although, I did just put a brand new battery in hers a few weeks ago. The old one was finally starting to not crank. It stopped when I was driving it luckily instead of her. Took it to Advance and swapped that bad boy out.

Teeth chattering. It was 7 or 8 degrees here this morning, coldest we've seen since '96. Truck started up just fine, was in garage which got down just below freezing last night.

-6* a couple days ago. -0.5* this morning. Cranked a little slower but started right up. Then I ran back inside and let it run for 20 minutes. Got a 5 month old to keep warm on the way to day care.

Neither the truck or myself were happy about it but both started. Clutch and shifter noticeably tighter and made noise for a second after starting.

started right up. idling the engine absolutely would not warm up all the way, but was warm enough to pump enough heat into the cab to survive while the power/heat was out in the shacks. i drove it to town and as soon as rpms got above idle it warmed up fully. -55 is fucking cold.

Started yesterday with the remote start with no problems. it was about -14. I did notice that the heater was worthless when the car is just idle at that temp. Once I started driving it kicked in but once I stopped and parked with it at idle, it wasn't as hot.

A little of this and a little of that.
It was 8 degrees Fahrenheit this morning when I started my truck. Fired right up, but that's cool for down here.
