I wouldn't know yet, because last winter, I hadn't gotten the truck running yet. It hesitated to start this morning though, and it was about 35 out there. Not cool.

Still pretty early in winter up here but around -20 without block heater pluged in, and it started...rough. Around -35 to -42 with it plugged in, started fairly ok. It's supposed to get quite a bit colder, though.

Last week Calgary didn't see temps above -20c (-4f), and routinely saw windchill temps of -30 (-22f) or lower.

Didn't plug her in, started everyday. Albeit sluggish on the -35c days...

Did -14 F over the weekend in Tahoe and started up although it cranked a bit slowly. The elevation didn't help either.

You don't leave for work early enough.

I've started mine plenty of times hovering around freezing.

Hell... I've gone scuba diving in water colder than 47!

We have this thing called the Pacific Ocean that does a pretty good job of keeping up temperate

I usually am first in at work and every few winters there will be a day or two where there's a thin layer of ice on the windshield. Not common here but not that rare. Had one day back in the late 70s where we had good solid ice on everything until noon. Now, much lower than freezing doesn't happen on the coast where I am, but inland in SoCal can get into the teens. Or even less if you're in the desert!

No snow though. Last time we had snowfall here was 1968.

I had a thin layer of ice yesterday.
Pissed me off too... I was late getting out the door, and I couldn't find my ice scraper.
The blades weren't stuck, so I sat in my parking space running the engine with the heat on full while hitting the washer/wipers every couple of minutes. Took a little over 5 minutes to get it clear enough to drive and it was wide open by the time I turned out onto the boulevard.

And last year, a TW member posted a shot of snow that stuck to the ground and cars... looked to be a good 1/2 inch... in the parking lot at Porto's in Burbank... that's about 500ft.
