What's the craziest/most interesting/unique item you've ever hauled or towed with your Taco?

Even totally disassembled, I can cram an entire residential HVAC system into the bed of a Toyota Tacoma!

This is 2.5-ton (30,000 BTU) air-conditioner and a 60,000 BTU ga a furnace. Physical size varies based on heating and cooling capacity, and also by brand and specific model, so results may vary. For example, a 2.5-ton Carrier Infinity or a Trane XLi condenser would definitely have a larger footprint than this builder grade ICP. Some 1.5-ton and 2-ton units are less than two feet high, so it would probably be possibly to cram two or three of them into this truck at once!

 

4 post lift. Raised it up ,backed trailer under it and tied the legs up. 20 mile trip. A little sketchy, but made it without taking out any mailboxes.

E-scrap run for work the other day; I backed into the warehouse for easier loading...

 

The wire in the first picture was heavier than it looks and required help from my supervisor to load, but the other box containing aluminum scrap wasn't bad at all; I got $77 for everything...

 

A coworker bought a miniature gas-powered side-by-side for his son as a Christmas gift and is hiding it at work until Christmas. This is the steel cage it was shipped in, which I was given to scrap for personal profit...

 

Lot of cyberscrap to recycle for work today. The best part is that I don't have to take it into the area where my door got bashed in!

I found a rather large window A/C unit sitting at the end of someone's driveway just outside of New Hope on my way to Jules' house, so I picked it up; I've learned that HVAC equipment, specifically the aluminum and copper parts, is worth big money and thus actually worth going to the scrapyard!

Pulling a trailer briefly at work last July; I can't believe that I never shared these in here!

 

I've got a lot of high-value metals to scrap for work today, including that aluminum tripod. Everything else that isn't boxed is steel/nonferrous metal...

 

Microchips, the majority of which came from computer mice and keyboards; I also tore apart a Keurig, some landline phones, a CD-ROM, a couple of wi-fi routers, and some other IT shit that I don't know the function of...
