    This thread is funny.

I put 4×2 mudflaps in 2wd. Then i switch them out to 4x4 flaps when I go 4wd.

Makes sense. Do you also add and remove the 4x4 and prerunner emblems?

Nice job man, clean. My '12 Toyota mud flaps tore themselves off in the snow the first day I had them home. Taught me a lot about what these trucks are built for now. I've got a '89 pickup out back with over 500,000 clics on it that has the original mudflaps as shown above. I imagine most that are sold never leave the pavement.

Yeah, those weren't the ones that came with it. I put flaps back on after having them off for a while (detailed earlier). I eventually actually lowered my truck about an inch and went back to 30x9.50 tires, the intention of the truck changed and so having flaps wasn't nearly as much of an inconvenience. So I found a set in the junk yard that weren't bent and torn up...

I don't think Toyota intended the 4WD trucks to be rock crawlers and most times, as long as they flex, having them isn't really a big deal one way or the other. Look through Overland Journals and Australian 4WD Monthly and stuff and you'll see most trucks keep them for some reason or another.
