The Sport in my opinion looks better, rides better and I'd change the tires on either and I'll add ARB lockers (which will kick the factory E-Locker's ass and take it's lunch money :D).

I liked the color matched grill mirrors and bumper, the skewp I could take or leave, but I do like the signal mirrors. With Florida drivers, I need the extra "blinky" to let the brain dead oldies know I'm moving over.

Re LSD. I'm looking to buy a used Tacoma 4x4 (2005 thru 2011) and want to make sure I get a true LSD, not the electronic faux LSD. What do I look for?

Look for a TRD sport model. It is a true LSD.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the power outlet in the bed was part of the Tow package, and not the sport package. I didn't get the sport, but did get a TRD-OR and Tow package, and I have fog lights & a power outlet.

I didn't want color matched mirrors or a scoop, or a longbed, so I avoided any sports.

That's a matter of opinion, only. That's like saying blondes look better than brunettes, or vice versa. To each his own my friend. I for one don't care for the scoop at all, or color matched grills and mirrors and door handles. I don't want 'em chrome and I don't want color matched.

This (from TxFireman's post above) is the primary reason that I will always chose an OFF ROAD 4WD, but I didn't need a long bed which isn't available on the 4 door, nor liked a fake hood scoop that a Sport comes with:

TRD Off-Road Package: Off-road-tuned suspension with Bilstein® shocks, electronically

controlled locking rear differential, 16-in. alloy wheels with P265/70R16 BFGoodrich® tires, Active

There are a lot more people reading this than the OP. Thanks for the concern, I enjoy sharing info.
