SR5 and Limited are dress packages, a Pre-runner is a 2wd built on a 4wd platform (2wd 6-lug). Not sure about 1st Gen, but the SR5 package on the 2nd Gen adds cruise control and I believe changes the seat fabric, etc. I don't believe there is a limited in the 2nd Gen, hopefully someone with 1st Gen experience can help you out with that one. The Pre-Runner is the type of truck and is not related to the dress packages.

Assuming you're asking about your 2003 model year ...

As already mentioned - PreRunner is a model, not an option package. The 2003 Double Cab was available in 2WD (PreRunner) and 4X4 versions.

There were 2 SR5 packages and one Limited Package. Here (below) are the summaries from the factory literature ...

    ---------------

    - chrome bumpers and grille surround
    - defroster-linked CFC-free air conditioning (standard on PreRunner Xtracab V6)
    - dual-fabric sun visors with mirror and visor extensions
    - orange-illuminated white-faced gauges (speedometer, tachometer with LCD twin tripmeters and coolant temperature and fuel-level meters)
    - digital clock
    - tilt steering wheel
    - washer-linked variable intermittent windshield wipers
    - Deluxe AM/FM ETR/Cassette with four speakers (Regular Cab)
    - Deluxe 3-in-1 audio system with six speakers (Xtracab and Double Cab)

    --------------------

    Color-keyed SR5 Package includes
    - all SR5 Package contents plus:
    - color-keyed bumpers, grille surround and door handles (includes color-keyed mirrors on 4x2 models, available on PreRunner and 4x4)

    --------------------

    Limited Package includes
    - color-keyed front bumper and fender flares
    - chrome grille surround, door handles, power remote outside mirrors and chrome rear bumper

    - sliding rear window with privacy glass
    - dual-fabric sunvisors with mirror and visor extensions
    - orange-illuminated white-faced gauges (speedometer, tachometer with LCD twin tripmeters, and coolant temperature and fuel-level meters)
    - power windows and door locks
    - leather-trimmed tilt steering wheel
    - leather-trimmed shift knob (manual transmission only)
    - washer-linked variable intermittent windshield wipers
