hey, how's the drive from the Bay Area to the Tetons? I have debated driving from the East Bay to Yellowstone, have a rough idea on mileage and time but am wondering what it was like for you. Did you do it all in one day? Split it up over 2? Anything of interest from here to that point?

Northern Virginia to Charlotte, NC and Back in one day. Just over 800 miles. 2 hour stopover in Charlotte for some meetings. I was younger and dumber then. But it was a work related trip so mileage was reimbursed and I was paid by the hour! Later my boss decided it was cheaper to fly me there.

Wow. I can't imagine what gas cost you on that trip. At least you were in a comfortable ride! Awesome.

I am seriously jealous of this truck... it looks sick. And they picture is awesome. Lucky SOB.

I have done AZ to MI when I moved there for the summer. I think it was about 2k miles. On the way back I left at 10am, stopped at 6am (next day) and slept for 1.5 hours.
Then continued the drive to Prescott.. bored out of my mind and just started talking to myself for hours on end..

    Lol thank you!

The only thing I've changed is I put a color matched grill on it and replaced the black grill.

I haven't been on the road like that in a decade. I sold my main business back in 12/04 and took off to Baja for 6 weeks. I drove my 240sx from florida to Memphis and then picking up old route 66 to San Diego. Left the 240 in SD and traveled from TJ down into baja. Spent 2 weeks in Baja then a long drive down I-10 back to Florida. I was single and flush with cash. best trip ever.

The trip next spring will include my 16 son from Florida and my youngest son who's 21 months now. Wife will fly in and meet us in portland. Looking forward to it.

Leaving tomorrow for Ft Hall ID. it will be around 700 miles round trip. First road trip in this rig. should be a good time.

Sounds fun. We took ours to Colorado earlier this year and I absolutely love this truck for traveling. I know a lot of people complain about the seats and what not but I just enjoy being in the truck. It's really just a nice place to be to me.

I've had the truck a month. put 1000 miles on it.have everything set up for travel. I was hoping my topper would be in but it's still 10 days out. Everyone seems to say seats are uncomfortable, but i haven't found that to be true for me.

I rode a big chunk of the PCH in Oregon, Washington, and CA last year on my motorcycle, great fun. I actually wanted to detour over to the Lost Coast but ran out of time and had to hang a left in Eureka to head home. I recommend the PCH. Kind of truck related, on the PCH we ran into these dudes from Europe who were driving these two sweet rigs all around the States:

I planned my first road trip a few days ago with my siblings. We are heading from Edmonton, Alberta to Calgary and onto Drumheller to see the dino bones and other things they have there. I can't recommend the drive from Edmonton to Drumheller in the late summer enough. It is so relaxing going south on Hwy21 and Hwy 63 straight into Drumheller. The fields are colourful and the mountains are visible. Its gonna be great.
