I am debating on getting a new tacoma I currently have a 2003 Cheverolet 1500, but am needing something that gets better gas mileage. I am really wanting a 5 spd manual 4cyl 4x4 with an access cab and i was wondering what everybody is getting gas mileage wise with these. Im also debating a 5 spd manual 4cyl 4x4 without the access cab. what is the gas mileage figures on it too.

Go to Toyota's website and look at the MPG figures. They're on the conservative side if you run stock tires. When I had stock tires, I got 2 at least 2 MPGs better than what's listed there (both city and highway). With slightly wider tires and an A/T tread, I get the same as the website for Highway and 2 better for City. So just use their numbers for a good estimate (the EPA estimates were revised several years ago to be more realistic).
