I regularly go 3000-3500. Manual transmission FTW.

Generally, though, I end up shifting under 4K. I honestly don't think I've ever gone over 4K.

Let me clarify what I said because it can be misconstrued. Raising the rpm limit increases the inertial loads with the square of the rpm increase.

To be honest, I never weighed the Carrillo rods. There might have been a data sheet, but I don't remember if there was or if I took a picture. I will check though. Point is though, the weight is not my concern respective to the strength that they offer. The Carrillo rods are rated for 367 hp per-hole. Any type of response in instant performace will be negated by my sheer delight in strength and durability. ;)

Is there a potential to make the response less? Obviously, if they weigh more. The pistons are also larger and weigh more, due to size, structural reinforcement, and much thicker wrist pins. Approximiately 1/4" wrist pins. The fight against deformation from boost pressures, timing, and increased rpm are my goals. However.....if I wanted to fork up the extra coin, I could have the strength with the light weight of titanium. Buuuuut, with what I've got, and the purpose of my build, titanium wasn't a necessity. As it is for other builds. That is the epitome of having your cake and eating it to.

Banged into the speed limiter on the '15. 110 on the Tacoma, 115 for 2nd gen Tundras. Think it was 110 on the 1st gens also.
