... Unless the eventual Tundra diesel is too tempting; even then I'd want to wait until at least year 3 of production on the Diesel Tundra.

Option A. Im in a good boat right now. Im 20 years old and have a paid off 2009 Taco DCSB 4wd with 75k on it. I just had a little girl so it wouldnt be practical for me to trade it anytime soon being a college student with limited funds as it is. My taco is the only truck ive ever owned and where i live, every man is attached to their first truck. I have a Saturn LS1 that i drove daily for a short period of time, and now its just parked in the driveway. My taco has been a daily since day one and i dont think thats gonna change. I dont see myself ever getting rid of it. One day i will buy another truck, but the Taco will stay as a second vehicle.

    Run it until it Melts.
87 Standard 22r....Still running, sitting in my folk's driveway
95 Xtra Cab 22re ran 225k miles, but lost a battle with a Lincoln Navigator. Saved my life in the process though :)

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
Why isnt this a poll? I figure 3:1 option a, and that the boat i paddle. If i wanted to trade in every other year, id prolly drive something i had to like a dodge/Chrysler/jeep or gm.

Drive it until I'm dead. These truck can run a good 300K miles. I'm retired and my last truck, a Titan saw 5K a year. So that's 60 years. by then I'll be 113. plus by about 100 my annual mileage may drop a bit.

I'm cheap and have 3 other vehicle to drive. So I most likely will keep this as my truck unless I get rid of my camper and motor home and want a bed mount camper at which point I would get a Tundra.

I could use a four door half ton. Hunting trips get damn crowded. It's like a two seater.

Plan on Daily Driving for the next 6 years probably.
Building it up as I can. The goal is to own for over 250k miles.
making it with quality parts that'll hold up for the long haul. Eventually I'll have kids, heck, they might drive it

Removed factory bed cover and installed UnderCover Elite. Added LOCKERDOWN console safe.
Bought it when retired at 66. Bought a Sienna for travel (for the most part) so will get low milage on it. It will last me all I need.

I don't have a plan. As long as the truck meets my needs I'll keep it. If my needs change and I need something else it goes.

I like option A. I'm going to that older guy with a good ole truck like all the ones I see on the road in my city.
