whats the max lift, without having to swap out everything???

    ok, im new to messing with lift kits, and bigger tires, etc, and im getting a migrane trying to figure this all out!!! so far the only thing i know is, im putting goodyear duratracs on my truck, otherwise, IM STUCK!!!!!, what lift kit does not involve needing to swap out control arms while still adding some lift to it? i like what i have seen pictures of with the 3" lifts, but reading that i will need to swap out uca's, i wont need to, i should.... so if i go down to a 2" lift, will that be better? what about the rear, i do pull a trailer of about 4l with around 800 pounds hitch weight in the winter, so what kit/brand should i go for? and what would be the max tire size without having a bad rub or having to take out the flaps? somebody please help me in the right direction, and if you have a link to a website with the kit, that would be awesome! thanks for the help!

    read build thread
    2" option - 5100's and 885 coils w/ add a leaf in the rear. stock ucas and 275 duratracs, not sure on flaps for that.

    3" option - OME kit w/ dakar leaf pack. replace uca's and 285 duratracs, mudflap removal, minor plastic trimming.

    there are other 2 and 3in options, but those are the most popular around here.

    Well sounds like option 1 then. Have to look at the site when I get home from work at midnight. Off Hans are the 275's available in 16 or 17 inch rims. Not sure if I want to keep the stock 16 inch off road rims. Or go aftermarket

    Fox 2.5 IFP extended travel coilovers, Fox 2.0 extended travel FJC rear piggyback shock, Icon 3 leaf progressive mini AAL pack, Total Chaos UCAs, konig countersteer wheels and 265/75/16 duratrac tires.
    No Duratracs in 275 for 16 or 17" wheel. 265/75/16 is a 32" wheel and biggest you can go without rubbing, even with a 3" lift. If you want to go bigger, then you need to cut a few things.

    884s will get you closer to 2" of lift, 885s would be around 2.5". If your towing i would recomend wheelers HD 3 leaf AAL, or go with the ironman complete 2" kit with a full new leaf pack with daul overload leafs

    Its listed for $880 right now on sieraexpeditions.com, Old man emu is a little pricier. $1150 for a full kit with new leaf packs from downsouth motorsports.

    Ok. What's the average with the 5100's, 885's and an aal? I know I can get the aal locally from Niagara Falls leaf and spring. But a guesstimate so I can think the rest of the night at work

    K&N, charcoal filter delete, ABS kill switch, YWM. 5100's @2.5'', Progressive AAL, Wet Okole Covers, Weather Tech Liners, 285/75/16 KM2's, FJ Anthracite Trail Teams, MGM HLM...
    FWIW I run 285/75/16 BFG KM2's with FJ Trail Teams on Billies in the front set to 2.5'', and stock UCA's. Rear is stock TSB leaf pack. I don't really wheel this truck, but it does see its fair share of fire roads and off pavement fun. The only thing that rubbed were the small flaps in the front of the wheel well and that was only in certain situations while (most of the time) in reverse. No cab mount chop or mud flap removal required. My .02.

    Ok. Sounds good. I might do the tsb. Or just get better ones from the suspension guy in Niagara Falls so they last better

    2" is similar to my last setup. 884s, 5100s, TSB rear. $330 for the spring and shocks from wheelers and you're done.

    how does the truck sit with the 5100's set to 1.75 or 2??? with the 884's, what setting with the 5100's rear? or leave the rear shocks alone? and with the rear tsb? front high, or level? will the tsb springs sag down, or should i leave the stockers in there after the update? or get better ones??? i have a 2012 double cab short box with the off road package if that helps, reading so many posts, my head is spinning again

    Only front 5100 shocks are adjustable, you will get rear lift from the extra 4th leaf in the TSB leaf pack.

    Also with fronts set to 1.75 on stock coils and rear TSB leafs, truck should be level.

    URD intake/maf calibrator, Icon extended travel coilovers, Icon UCA, OME Dakar leaf packs, Bilstein extended rear shocks, 3 degree axle shims, Carrier bearing drop bracket, DS2 retro, 5k HID bulds top and bottom
    I was running Bilstein 5100's set at .85 with the Eibach springs and 1/4 spacer for driver lean, gave a lift a little under 2.5 and i didnt need new UCA. My alignment was spot on. For the rear all i had was a 1.5 aal and i had a nice leveled look. Now that i have upgraded to ICON coilovers, Icon UCA, and OME Dakar leaf packs i am getting vibes, and axle wrap so i have to spend more money now on a Budbuilt traction bar, and beefed taco carrier drop since i want something more permanent than washers to drop the carrier.
