I'm looking into getting a new head unit but all the ones I've seen are recessed. I'm super OCD when it comes to things like that and I want a double DIN unit that will sit as flush as the factory unit does or at least REALLY REALLY close to it preferably with blue or white light to match my blue pilot lighting on the floor :D

So, whats the cleanest looking head unit ya'll have seen in the 2nd gen?

No head unit is more or less flush. The trim kit determines that and then you can adjust it by reusing your stock mounting brackets and redrilling new holes for whatever depth you like. Most high end head units have variable color illumination with hundreds of possibilities. I have a DNX9960 and not only change button illumination with almost unlimited variability but have three different menu colors.

You need to find something else to be OCD about. You wont find answers that fit your question for basing a purchase off of, since its not really a question worth considering as a purchase making decision. Perhaps picking a stereo that allows you to stream stereo music via bluetooth or has the best navigation or something you can actually compare like most graphic EQ channels for tuning or time allignment features.
