I carried a half-cord of firewood mostly seasoned red oak which is about 2000 lbs give or take a few hundred lbs.

Wood Heating and Weight Values per/cord

wood - million BTU/cord - seasoned lbs - wet lbs
    Oak, Live _ 34.4 - 36.6 _ 3766 - 4840 _ 6120 - 7870

Truck handle well and yes I should have covered the load. I posted earlier saying it would have been better stacking the wood instead of just throwing it in. That is what I will do next time and cover the it, luckily I only had to drive about 13 miles to my house.

that moose is pushing 1500-2000 pounds. I have winch built into my racks that are connected to my frame via the bed bolts closes to the cab. We had 7 guys but the winch did all the work, i just had to use my fingers and wrist to twist the knob, haha. Also I have AllPro Leafs in the rear with Tuff Country shocks

I am a sandblaster, as you can imagine I carry a lot of heavy equipment/materials in my truck. I regularly carry over 1000 lbs - most was about 1400 in one go.

Easy - slide it right to the front of the bed so it distributes the weight and won't slide if you hit the brakes.

I haul alot of weight just about daily. Typical weights are from 200lbs. to 2000lbs. and just last week I hauled a 2,500lb skid of steel. Power and brakes are never a problem, suspenson sucks.

Isn't the mfr recommended limit for your truck about 1400 lbs?

I know you all have seen that pic on the internet of the red neck swimming pool where the guy lined his truck with plastic and then filled it full of water...

Had a buddy of mine to do that last week...It was like 50 de4grees here and he got dared to fill the bed of his truck up with water and then jump in...He did it...

And like an Idiot...He left the water in there all night too...Temp dropped to 25 that night...Woke up the next morning...Had about an inch of ice dead even with the rails of his truck...Dont know how much that weighed...But it was squatting pretty good....He wasnt driving it or anything...

The strange part was....Once He let the tail gate down...lol...The truck never really returned to its normal stance...It still looked like it was squatting...

Dont know if the springs just got bent or what...Is that even possible???

I hauled 1 ton of gravel. 2000 lbs. It was squatting but still went 55 to 60 mph on a windy road home. it was about 10 minutes to home. A little squirrly but not as bad as i thought it would be. the guy who loaded it up got big eyes when i told him to put the whole ton on there, he shook his head and said " only in a toyota" .

Hauled the in-laws from the airport to the cruise terminal. I had 4 BIG guys in my double cab, I'd average about 230lbs a pop on them, plus about 14 pieces of overstuffed luggage completely filling the bed... prolly 35-45 lbs a bag. (they're older & their wives overpacked) So about 1400lbs.

Truck went handily 75mph down the freeway. No problems with handling, power or braking, but rear bottomed out on any moderate bumps! Taking it in tomorrow and going for the suspension TSB.

You obviously haven't been married that long - you're supposed to put the in-laws in the bed and have the luggage in the cab. :D

Its rated for 1300. As long as the tires will hold the weight the truck will too.
