What's the normal range for 1GR temperatures.

    This stuff has already been discussed after it was posted Sandman. Just because coolant raises the boiling point of water doesn't mean it does a better job at cooling the engine off. Especially when you have a fatty supercharger sitting on top of it adding all that additional heatsoak to it.

    This is why most guys with the new C7 Vettes having overheating issues at the track run a 90/10 water/ coolant mix. It supposedly does a stellar job at keeping them much cooler and overheating with their blowers.

    That's also why though they still run that 10% coolant rather than racing "wetting" agent. The 10% coolant does have an effect on how the coolant blend performs at higher temps and it does increase efficiency at that point.

    Exactly. To be truthful too, living in California, with temps of over 100*F this summer where I am, I have been considering doing a full out flush and running that mix myself. Running the AC out here during those hot times, I could use that extra efficiency benefit.
