What's the part number on your Nav SD card and map date?

Lol, just called the dealer I bought the truck from last weekend and they said there's no updated map for the 2016 Tacoma.

 

I just checked and I have the 6-2016 update!



My 2017 Taco was built in November

 

Think you might be able to make a copy of the SD and share it?

There might be a way to do it but from reading similar request from 2nd Gen owners I don't think the Nav data can simply be copied from one SD card to another.

 

I know a surefire way to get the new one... go test drive a new Tacoma.

It'd be interesting to see the result. I'm curious if there's any sort of anti-copying measures in place and what they are if so. I'd certainly suggest trying a low level cloning as can be done with microSD cards; carboncopycloner on mac for example.

 

Any one know the formatting and size on the card?

 

Just checked mine... Was 14 GB card with a little over 3 GB free. Didn't check format. Assuming Fat32

 

My 17 came with the 184, bought it early December

I just checked my map data, it's 5-2016

 

14 gb, that's an odd number. Maybe 16 and lost 2 in formatting.

 

Yes, 16GB cards will have 14ish after formatting.

 

...and no card reader. The built in one is just for regular ol'SD cards... sorry, not much use other than confirming the #
