What’s the pizza cutter version of 35s? You’d still have to cut. You always have to cut. You can’t half ass these things otherwise

Yeah but it’s more like making a zero tolerance insert for a table saw. Just a straight cut right up the inside of the fender well.

Shit FOR ME, if I’m gunna go up on trails I’d wanna do it right with SAS, tons, 37s+, etc.

No fucking way am I spending thousands on an IFS setup just to do it so-so while getting passed up by all the real rigs. I live close to the rubicon and camp at Loon Lake (start of the Con) all the time and you’re smokin crack if you think my 3rd gen would keep up with some of the trailered rigs I see on the way up and down.

Nada. Stay in your lane lol. I’m going 33s and 4.88 for my ‘17 2.7, but you won’t catch me on anything but fireroads, out camping, light Offroad trails to get to a few remote spots, etc. it’s mostly for looks, although with 33s and good suspension it’ll be decently capable too.

IFS just isn’t built to handle that abuse and hold up long term. Why spend that kind of money on IFS if bangin it up on the rocks is what you live for? Save for SAS or go buy a rig off Craigslist and beat the hell out of it.

Any way to mitigate the stress from 35s by beefing up other suspension parts, assuming you're already running solid coilovers, uppers and lowers?

Tires take the abuse first before suspension and then the tire in turn basically amplifies the impact (to ALL your suspension and steering parts) from what ever terrain your driving on all the extra mass is not friendly. Personally I wouldn’t spend a ton of coin on expensive stuff I’d just replace with factory stuff as it wears it’ll be cheaper in the long run as the expensive stuff breaks and wears out as well.

For sure. Well I suppose it's just something I'll have to deal with when I step up this winter

Does anyone fail to see that no one is arguing that 35s are not better. The entire conversation is 33s require less modification and amount to less wear and tear and are still pretty good. 35s would still be better off road obviously.

Your 35s are a joke. 37s are a joke, 40 in tires are a joke. Just get a Sherp if you want to win the measuring contest.

That's funny, you got any pictures and video of a truck on 33" tires being able to do the same stuff as someone with 40" tires?

At this point im not interested in entertaining the negligent lack of education some of the commenters are exhibiting. If they wanna know the facts they can look em up. Me, I'll be Rollin with my buddies. On my 33's.

What "facts" have you presented exactly? All I've seen from you are some stories and opinions. Don't stop now, give us a few pictures of your truck on 33s outperforming some built trucks on 42" tires.
