I guess the OP should have stuck to "safe" topics like "What kind of oil should I use?" or "What's the biggest tire that will fit?" or maybe "What octane gas is best?". Then maybe the TW hall monitors wouldn't be so upset.

Now that i use my my tuck for my home maintenance business, i bought a cover for drivers seat only. Dont want paint, construction glue, sealers etc on my beautiful leather seats.

Otherwise for about 5 years no seat covers, seats still look great.

Well call me crazy but I like to cover the seats with those big black contractor bags. A nice fitment and from a distance it "looks" like leather. Not to mention the added benefit of insurance from those farts I'm not sure are going to work out the way I plan them.

I had seat covers on my 08 from when it was brand new.
When I sold it 14 years later the cloth seats looked brand new.
Along with a new Frame , I was able to get 16K with 167 000 miles on it.

Just seeing this thread and it is an interesting discussion. I guess it really all depends on what you value more. Some feel the need to protect car seats in hopes of getting more for the vehicle when they go to sell it. Whereas others buy stuff to use and enjoy, and in doing so they let some other poor bastard put seat covers on it! I'm in the latter group.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I covered the cloth seats with "leather:...

Well, inside out, sort of like..

Genuine SHEEP SKIN FLEECE from some outfit in Canada. Cool in summer, warm in winter, great for the long haul!

I don't even recall what the stock seats looked like ;-)
