So, ive been kicking this idea around for a minute.... Finally said fu€£ it and made this thread. Ill start with my story to kick things off. The year is 2000. location: Seward, Alaska, icicle seafoods to be exact. My brother, and a mutual friend are doing the "cannery" thing. They are on the slime line (gutting the salmon) and i was in the egg room (making caviar). We were all living in what is called "tent city" and passing the time by passing around lots of joints. Truly the only way to work 27 hrs in one day. Well, i chose the egg room because thats where the money was. More hours equals more money, right?! So my friend started to call me "Roe Hoe" because salmon eggs are called "Roe", and because i was a "Hoe" for wanting more money. At that same time i decided to open my first email account, so i signed up on yahoo. Well when i went to choose a name i figured roehoe would be good. Low and behold, some other a$$hole beat me to it. As any 21 year old stoner would do, i tried roehoe420. Nope, another a$$hole in the way. Same with 69, 79 and so on... Well i figured, since i had a really cool datsun 510 before i left ca for ak id try 72 for the year. And long story short, now im the a$$hole with Roehoe72! Now its your guys' turn. Lets here those stories!

I was too stoopid to realize that you aren't supposed to use initials and part of last name. Now I don't give a faqu.

I do get a kick out of some of the more unique ones. Some had to put a lot of thought into it or are just gifted for creativity.

My first name is Scott so thats the 'S'. Growing up my dad always had a big F250 and inspired my love of trucks so when I finally grew up I had to get one of my own. Hence my Taco and I named him Junior cuz at the time he was smaller. Hence the 'J'. The irony that my truck will be the same size when I get new tires. The first week I had my truck I got it stuck in 3 feet of snow and my dad had to pull me out... rough day

Mine is the license plate frames I got for my truck. Got them because I absolutely love my new taco. Not too creative, but I like it.

NVRENUF = Never Enough. This was the license plate on my "other ride" (1966 Chevy II). I got that car when I was 16 (circa 2000). It was a bone stock 1966 Chevy II with 32,XXX original miles on the OD. Bench seat, '3 on the tree', straight 6, radio delete, and 13" red rally wheels. The only option this thing had was a chrome, swing-out kleenex dispenser (factory) mounted under the dash. Every winter my Dad and I would tackle a different project. First project was motor and trans. Built a 283 c.i., bored .060 over with a 327 crank, nice cam, roller rockers, aluminum intake and heads, ceramic coated headers, topped with a Holley 650 and backed by a muncie 4 speed. Next winter was interior - carpet, bucket seats, new dash pad, headliner, door panels, etc. And the next winter was the flashy stuff. Re-painted (Ferrari red) inside and out, cowl induction hood, staggered Crager's (16" & 15"). My Dad was always giving me a hard time about dumping money into the car. He thought it was good they it was, but I always wanted to keep modding (Not much has changed ) I still have that car, and the modding continues on it (as well as my Taco). No matter what vehicle I have, it will Never be Enough...

    Mine goes back 25 years.

Late 80s, early 90s. I was just starting out what would accidentally become my career building/fixing/upgrading PCs and running BBSes and LANs (these were before the commercial internet was a common thing)

As I dialed in to machines all over the place, I began needing an account name that wasn't Admin, was unique enough that it was easy and fast to spot on an old 80-char ASCII line display, that nobody else would likely have already, was fast to type, and if I could, make it sound cool too.

I starting playing with the unusual letters of the alphabet to make a name (Q, Z, X, etc) and somehow ended up creating Xaks as a kind of offshoot from Zach. No, Zach isn't my name, but there were a couple on boards I modded and couldn't use that, but it fit the other criteria, so I fudged it.

Later, as the the 90s went on, the internet became a thing, and online gaming got started, I used it for the same reasons. If you played an MMO since 1999 and met Xaks or Radahr, that was me. EQs, ACs, DAoC, WoW, LoTRO, MWO, TES, SW:ToR...the list goes on and on :)

It works well as a name on various boards too. You'll see me all over the place with this handle. Hell, it's on my license plate.

Bman was my nick name in my 20s, and I use a wooden camera that uses 4x5" sheet film. I'm a landscape photographer, and bought my 4wd Taco after the last time my prerunner got stuck.
