Been doing small mods for awhile...trying to keep the @#$ salt dust off everything...NE PA roads look like salt mines.....the snorkle was a worthwhile add..keeps all that salt crap outa the intake....IMG_0081.jpg

give that man a ceegar.......Here in NE PA the roads look like the salt flats/dust bowl......really lots of salt dust.....I run a snorkle for that reason...also the K&N..and yes its much easier to quik peek in then opening the air box cover...

More envious of the ops' free time to do this than his clean engine.

Intercooler piping from Ebay, it was just a pre-bend 90 that I cut to fit. Silicone coupler, and clamps I just had laying around. It could easily be recreated for around $40! You are correct, the smooth 90 really makes a difference on how the engine sees air coming in, won't make any power but will smooth the air out for sure! See my post on "what did you do to your 2nd gen today"

The reason that the stock intake is so large is because it so turbulent. The effective flow diameter is not more that 3"
