Took this pic and noticed the hood is slightly raised at both sides of the center part of the hood. I can barely feel the transition, and I can't see it unless a really bright light (like the sun in the pic) is behind, so they're not raised much.

AFAIK, the truck has never been in an accident (bought a year old with 12k miles). I played around with the rubber adjusters, but I couldn't get it any better. I'm not a body guy, but nothing seems off to me with the inside of the hood or the core support.

I'm thinking maybe it's actually the grille surround? Any ideas? I realize this is probably smth you'd have to see in person, but any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Other TW members have had issues with warped grille surround. Here is the link to the discussion.

Was this here when you bought it? If not, what caused this?

No, those two small dents were recent at the time of the pic. I have another pic from a month and a half before, and those aren't there. I'm guessing a couple of rocks got kicked up on the road

Ok……would suspect it’s the grille surround warped

Same subject i guess but my hood kind of vibrates up and down going down the road. Is that normal? It seems tight when parked. When I pass a large semi on the road it really jumps a little...

I'd guess the latch may be wearing out. 11 years could do that. It probably seems tight when parked bc you can only push down, but on the road, air pressure can develop underneath, especially from a semi.

Maybe you could try pulling up on it if you have access to a strong suction cup or smth? But don't pull too hard, that could maybe deform the sheet metal (I know very little about body work, so grain of salt).

Some 3rd Gens have had issues with the glue that holds the underside of the hood to metal framing. Here is a thread on the discussion.
