worst part about bart by far. I hate taking bart to giants game cuz its a lot longer and definetly packed as shit. Only good thing is no transfers to get home and by the time you reach lafayette the majority of people are off. Im ready for them to extend bart so i can go to SJ so I can get to sharks games. :D

that would be tight, but that'll take hella long to get approved. I think they approved extending it out to brentwood (pittsburg/baypoint train) and then also to livermore (dublin/pleasanton train) and south fremont (fremont train)

Lot's of projects are approved but have no funding. I wish they'd shitcan CalTrain and replace it with BART. Maybe that way, you could actually get somewhere.

Of course, they build the stuff few can use (like the stub out to OAK).

    X100000 very true

BART will never be as sophisticated and useful as NY's subway system :(

Yea I saw all the proposed extensions but who knows when it'll take effect. I guess it would be good to go to Brentwood. Isnt that where the outlet stores are?

I saw that little POS extension for the airport and was just confused as to why they'd even bother.

The bay area should just ask us 3 what should be done. Problem solved.

    [soapbox]

They have taken the passenger's fare monies and squandered them on whatever. Failing to maintain the system. Seems like they're always begging and pleading for money. Some counties have paid a 1/4 cent sales tax for BART they don't even have (and for 20 years). And now, they need more money to replace cars or do maintenance on the system--WTF? Isn't that stuff you're supposed to do as a normal course of operation?

NYC and other systems might not be sophisticated but they work. BART was supposed to be the answer and it hasn't lived up to its promise.

Yea they are really getting more difficult to find these days either original or cafe'd out. After having it for 6 years I think I'll own some sort of classic Honda cafe for the rest of my life. Really enjoyable machines!
