What's wrong with my compressor - pulleys don't line up

    Are you sure you don't have a bracket off of a pre-Tacoma 22RE?

    To add to the confusion I believe there are 2 different ones from the 22RE that will bolt also up to the 2RZ and 3RZ

    3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
    again your vin in one of the dealer sites will give correct#....
    only discretion I've ever seen is it auto or standard, or abs on non abs......
    so u need to read thru the description......several times....several sites...fine print....and never trust the pics, alot of times its just a stock photo.....sometimes wrong....

    Yep, it was the bracket. I got the new bracket today and everything fit. Here’s the two brackets side by side, you can clearly see the dimensional difference. Also, the old bracket is steel and the new one is aluminum. Not sure what oddball bracket I ended up with on that eBay deal. I thought I did a fair amount of legwork to make sure I got the correct parts but this project threw me a curveball with these dang brackets. Hope this helps someone in the future - check your bracket and check it twice.

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Glad it is fixed!!

    I hope you cleaned the adjuster and checked the bearing before bolting it to the block.
