    Not complaining, but:
this dipstick in my Tacoma is the biggest POS oil dipstick I have ever seen! I just can't read that darn thing, the oil is all over the stick.
Has anybody found a way to read this thing reliably (like in every try)? Every car I have ever owned it was easy to read, and so is the one in my wife's current Passat. But this Tacoma one ....

Banks Monster Exhaust, Pop n Lock tailgate lock, Hook-Ups tie down brackets, USA Spec Ipod adaptor, WO seat covers, color matched grill with Grillcraft insert, Tuffy locking bed box
Roughen up the the bottom with sand paper. It helps a bit.

I always check oil in the morning before I start the truck, that way the oil is cold and tends to stick to the dip stick a little better. Since the truck hasn't been run the only oil on the stick it what is sticking in the pan.

Same problem here. After about 15 tries I can sometime get a descent reading.

Yep. I really do think that this is the only solution that works.
