Well I meant I can't expose for times when I pick up my kids from school. I'd rather not get tackled by CCSD PD...

    Yes Sir!

Got my CC permit back in 1988 (hand typed by my local police chief...note - I've since taken several courses and now have a legitimate CC permit/licence) when I was 18 and started out with a full size P220. I've tried every conceivable holster/belt combo imaginable. When I added the Carry version to the lineup several years ago it felt so much smaller & lighter than the full size (primarily all psychological as they're not that much different really :D ). That sticky holster works for my build (5'10 - 160). My belts allow for just the right amount of tension. I've been carrying for so long now I don't even notice it. I can wear it anywhere I need to based on attire. When I get in my truck I just remove it and it goes in my console, in the center cubby, on my passenger seat, etc. Not into having any separate truck mounted holster. It's a simple system that works for me. May not be for everyone.

I do have an Alien Gear OWB for when I'm at a range.

See and I'm 5'7 & 160 and I can't conceal anything larger than my S&W Shield unless I'm wearing a jacket or an untucked flannel. So usually during the winter when I've got a couple of layers on (and so does everybody else) it's the Shield with 124gr +p Hydrashoks, and during the summer when I'm limited to a T shirt or a polo it's the Bodyguard .380 with 90gr Gold Dots.

But if I'm going someplace crappy during the winter I'll wear a longer jacket and bring my 5906 or SR1911

The right holster will help you there. I'm 5'8 about 167. I used a VEIL apex holster to carry a shield regardless of clothing. It even conceals with tighter t-shirts. The other half is understanding that a little printing will go unnoticed. Once you accept that a LITTLE bit of printing is ok, you can start carrying something a little bigger.

I have a Galco KingTuk as well as the Talon that I usually use. The KingTuk does do a little better job of concealing it but also makes me sweat like crazy against the leather

Kydex is the only way to go in my opinion. Leather can fold potentially cause an ND.

Kydex makes me sweat even more than leather does, or at least it feels like it since it breathes less

ND's due to holster flex are very low on my list of concerns; all of my CCW's have manual safeties and I use them, so the odds of the holster flexing or bending in a way that both switched the safety off and pulled the trigger are monumentally low.

do you wear an undershirt? I have to keep the kydex off of me and the grip on my revolver is pretty sticky too when I start to perspire. I dunno if it helps with leather but it should at least put a nice cottony layer between you and it

I assume the kydex has wings then? I've never had an issue with sweat.

OWB for all by Michael Kole plus a Sticky pocket holster for the P238 for when I am dressed up. I am waiting on a Sig P365!
